Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said it is time for "a change" and for "new blood" to lead the Republican National Committee — just a day before RNC membership will vote to select the next chair to lead the GOP.

RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel is seeking a fourth term and is up against Harmeet Dhillon — an RNC committee member from California, the CEO of the Center for American Liberty and co-chair of the Republican National Lawyers Association — and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell.

DeSantis, in an interview with Charlie Kirk — shared with Fox News Digital before airing Thursday — slammed the current RNC leadership.

"We’ve had three substandard election cycles in a row — ’18, '20 and ’22 — and I would say of all three of those, ’22 was probably the worst, given the political environment of a very unpopular President Biden," DeSantis said. "Huge majorities of the people think the country is going in the wrong direction."…

When is the vote?

Do everyday Republicans get to participate, or just the elites?

MIKE LINDELL would make an excellent GOP chair. He is not beholden to anyone. Plus, who can beat MIKE LINDELL in publicizing a ‘product’?

Seems like the elites get to choose.

"The 2023 Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairperson election will be held on January 27, 2023 in the United States, to determine the next chairperson of the Republican National Committee. The incumbent Chairperson, Ronna Romney McDaniel, is running for a fourth term. This will be the first chairperson election with multiple candidates since 2013.

Under RNC rules, three members from each state and U.S. territory, the state or territory’s party chair, one committeeman, and one committeewoman, cast ballots for chair, accounting for 168 votes, of which a majority is 85. At least 11 states have passed or are considering no confidence."

She’s part of the loser Romney tribe — never should have been RNC chair. Her performance is abysmal.

McDaniel is only doing her DSC job.

To destroy the GOP from within. Doing pretty well at it, too.

The more I see of Harmeet Dhillon, the more I like her. Level-headed, committed, and willing to get out there in the trenches to steer the Republican party back to the principle of winning elections.

Mike Lindell is a fine fellow, seems to be able to organize a lot of action, and is absolutely fearless when it comes to launching a frontal attack at all things supported by the Democrat Socialists, but he continues to make himself a target, not a skill set the bodes well for party-building.

Rona McDaniel, bless her heart, is a really likeable person, and comes across well on TV, but that still does not translate into votes at the ballot box, and she continues to sink into a morass for which there seems to be no exit.

But then, I am not the one who has a vote here.

Lindell is a light weight...he’d get chewed up and spit out by the experienced political players. The objective is have top flight leadership...and Lindell isn’t in that league in my opinion.

But at least he won’t be doing the “Rub my back and I’ll rub yours” game these elites play. For that alone I would think he’s the guy.

Maybe...but just how effective would he be? I agree with the elitist comment but that’s the reality we have to deal with...and it’s unfortunate and a reflection of our society at present.

As much as I’d like to see the Lindell GOP infomercials, I’ve known Harmeet from Republican National Lawyers Association and consider her a great choice.

“Lindell is a light weight...”

Agreed, his hearts in the right place but his brain is lacking.

From Wiki...

Since McDaniel's election as chair of the RNC, the Republican Party has had a net loss of 7 governorships, 3 seats in the United States Senate, 19 seats in the House of Representatives, and the presidency. In December 2022, Axios wrote that McDaniel "has thus far failed to preside over a single positive election cycle.

And, we need to keep in mind that Ms McDaniel is Willard's niece, meaning a clear conflict of interest, n'est ce pas?

Harmeet Dhillon has my support (as does Ron DeSantis for that matter).
