This man is everything that is wrong with corrupt DC. He is for himself and could give a damn about anyone outside the Beltway.

For every dollar of debt expansion, two dollars of spending cutbacks.

Please, oh please, may a meteor hit McConehead and smash his sorry-assed fat little turd body to nothingness. Die, die, die. And then die. He is such a two faced slime that even CNN employees would turn him out. Flush the turd into oblivion.

I’m glad. McConnell wants to cut Social Security. He and all his Senate cronies - Thune, Romney, Gram - are on record saying so, and not years ago, days and weeks ago.

McCarthy, in contrast, has said he won’t use the debt negotiations to try to cut Social Security. McCarthy is in line with Trump on this.

Total deficits to date, from 1789 thru 2021: $20,936,451,000,000.

Current debt: $31,511,730,000,000.

Ergo, NOT ONE PLUG NICKLE of ‘taxes’ has EVER gone to paying off principle. NOT ONE PLUG NICKLE ever will go to paying off principle, under the present fiat bankstering non-federal non-reserve FED system.

So, on this score, there should NEVER EVER be ANY increase in the so-called “debt ceiling”.

It’s a complete fraud on the American taxpayer.

Perfect!

At least McCarthy seems intent on doing what he said he would do.

What a stupid comment. Spending originates jn the House by design. Thus js McCarthy’s problem

McConnell is worthless, and I honestly believe that he is a traitor as well.

McConnell puts the onus...

It’s the house of representatives job to formulate budgets. What a bunch of DF’s in the press...

Technically, the House if the keeper of the purse; not the President. Tell the demented idiot how the government can spend...don’t ask.

Seems like a US default on debt would cause the Money Market Funds to “break the buck”.

And all hell would break loose.

Money bills don’t originate in the Senate. Mitch has just realized he has become super irrelevant. The House will bring forward and pass whatever Single Issue bills they want, future in the Senate be damned. If not passed by the Senate, the House will beat them over the head, speaking directly to the people. Whatever administrative issues the House can handle by themselves will be done. Investigations will lead to public results.

McConnell is not in a position to negotiate since he is only the minority leader in the senate.
