In a statement, the SVR said U.S.-supplied HIMARS rocket launchers, air defence systems and artillery ammunition had been delivered to the Rivne nuclear power station in the northwest of Ukraine.

"The Ukrainian armed forces are storing weapons and ammunition provided by the West on the territory of nuclear power plants," it said, adding that an arms shipment to the Rivne power station had taken place in the last week of December.

Keep in mind that U.S. military inspectors were sent to Ukraine in October to keep track of weapons deployment and equipment.

It’s a good thing Russia can’t read an English newspaper.

There’s a contingent of Americans that want other Americans to get killed in Ukraine, so that support for escalation will be called for.

This must be illegal. Ukraine is Obama’s pipeline war just like Syria.. and a bonus it increases the money laundering capacity of corruptocrats. Two proxy wars with Russia. Nothing good can come out of this.

Yes, that’s why the tanks. No way those tanks go to Ukraine without American, British, and German personnel to service and maintain them, and probably “advisors” to operate them in combat too.

I agree, they have provoked numerous wars for decades. I guess it’s all about money, but many of these people are simply sick and evil. Anyone embracing Biden’s foreign policy has to be.

That's tricky. Some people might start asking what US military/intelligence affiliated personnel doing in Ukraine?

But could suggest other storage sites:
A factory that makes baby formula (Saddam in Iraq)
Ukranian Orthodox churches (Palestinians and their mosques)
Orphanages
Kid playgrounds
Animal shelters

Feel free to add.

Remember when Putin boasted in 2014 that he could take Kiev in ‘two weeks’?

It’s amazing how they’ve been driven back from their initial gains by hand me down Soviet equipment. Imagine how much worse for them this gets if the Ukrainians get more western kit!

Turns out Russia is a backwater and just didn’t know it yet. How long before you think they catch on?

I hope that isn’t true. There are a few here that seem to be for a big escalation though.

The Russians in eastern Ukraine fought for and got autonomy.

Our masters in DC greatly fear that people in red areas of the USA might also fight for and get autonomy.

The tax slaves of the USA need to be taught that submission is the only acceptable behavior.

Agreed. Tanks means tank battalions, i.e. ground troops. Then they’ll need air support and refueling. Then logistics, including possible aid stations, etc.

At which point, the war hawks will start talking about the need to put U.S. troops on the ground.

Recent glorious battlefield victories by the UA is exactly why the Ukrainians need an immediate infusion of Abrams tanks and F-16s.

The Russians almost certainly have better equipment in the works, which will be bought by the factory output capacity.

The winter in Ukraine is not cold enough long enough for a sustained offensive. The Russians will try to hold their ground until their new weapons of war come.

--- "Ukraine is Obama's pipeline war just like Syria.. and a bonus it increases the money laundering capacity of corruptocrats."

Kudos to you for recalling the "not a smidgen of corruption" Obama cadre got the US involved in Syria, as well as that "kinetic action" in Libya which has triggered the mass migration of Muslims into Europe's heartland.

Syria today still has US troops actively involved in the "oil fields" of Syria, though the Syrian government does not want them there. There is money laundering aplenty ongoing, with remunerations aplenty to those politicians who support it. Corruption worldwide courtesy of politics and the now-forever war on "terror," as nebulous a phrase as there is generally.
