so at age 17 he was not out drinking, drugging, or having mulitple promiscuous relationships and didn't help produce babies with one night stands....that we know of....

look at todays 17 yros...look at these college kids that drink excessively every weekend and never study....

the maturity of todays youth is at such a low level....Joe Foss and guys like my father were out fighting world war at the age of these bimbos and wimps in college....

rant over...

we just will never produce men such as these unless something huge changes our silly, shallow culture.

Joe Foss had a brief cameo appearance in the 1960 biographical “docudrama” about Admiral Halsey, “The Gallant Hours”. I didn’t see that film until 2020, burning through streaming video during the pandemic. I remembered Foss from The American Sportsman and his later NRA gig, so I recognized him right off.

KFC Pick Up Day turned out to be much better than two weeks ago. The pickup started and I was able to go get our KFc supper.

We also had a spectacular visit to Comanche Lake. Here are all the pics.

One more nice day today and then we'll see what happens tomorrow with the winter storm.

Take heart. There are still good kids out there doing the “right” thing. They’re not the brash, loud and insensitive ones that make a “name” for themselves as partiers. The good ones keep their head down, apply themselves and wind up accomplishing important things. I actually know a few...
