WEF--Davos's seedy underbelly EXPOSED: How pointing at the ceiling in a bar is all it takes to order sex at annual summit for the super-rich

Business for the legal prostitutes is booming One escort said that girls were mainly students in their 20s paying for university Escorts can charge as much as £3,000 for a six-hour booking at a client's hotel Nearly 3,000 conference delegates have attended for the five-day jamboree Prostitution is legal in Switzerland, with sex workers expected to pay taxes
The Grandhotel Belvedere sits majestically on a hill overlooking Davos. It's aptly named. The Belvedere resembles a magnificent Alpine stately home. 'Five-star plus with old-school charm' is how one recent guest described their stay here.
How much does a room cost? It's impossible to say at the moment because the gilded establishment, just down the road from Klosters, is currently closed to 'ordinary' members of the public.
Here's a clue, though. The going rate for basic rooms in Davos — without even a TV or desk — is currently an inflation-busting £800 a night, which gives some indication of what the guests who have been booked into the Belvedere are shelling out.
Then again, the tab they pick up at the Belvedere is little more than small change for these people: they are hedge funders, bankers, chief executives, investors — the so-called 'masters of the universe' — who have descended on the Swiss resort, two hours from Zurich, for a meeting of the World Economic Forum.

A psychologist once quipped at the Freudian idea of sex (in the modern world) having nothing to do with the “primitive” impulses found in the “primitive” so called societies that Freud blamed in a strange historicist way.
A modern man would be weirded to see an esquimo man offer his wife’s bed to his freezing guests but would find it empowering to see stranger paid prostitutes offered like meat at parties.
Something is wrong with us and I think it is that Freud and his cousin Edward Bernay who organized corporate and government America marketing are now our daddies.

"it’s also not just about sex, my clients like to have intelligent conversation as well."
From what I've seen of the conversations at Davos, I can sort of understand this.
Anyone with half a brain has got to be exhausted after a day of listening to the verbal drivel, and is likely longing for some intelligent conversation, along with her other "services".

Prostitution is legal in Switzerland, with sex workers expected to pay taxesI suppose they'd have to, as long as they give their clients their tax id numbers and the clients file the appropriate reports with national tax authorities.

Wondering why the super rich want to suppress the little folk and take all their money, while letting other super rich individuals keep all their money.
Maybe it’s because they like the power and privilege they have over the ordinary people, whom they despise.

Maybe it’s because they like the power and privilege they have over the ordinary people, whom they despise. It's not just wealth they want, it's power and status, the ability to do things that "ordinary people" are not allowed to do.
That is the REAL kind of privilege, not being held to the same rules as common people, and having things that common people can never have.
