I thought the attached article (who known how much of it is accurate) suggested that the “high ranking wagner group member” went to get away from it all. Maybe I missed something.
The “high ranking” leader was only in the position for a few months.
Wagner often recruits from prison. Fighting with Wagner group, is short path out of prison. But can be fatal.
A few years ago, the US military in E Syria in the oil field above the river was attacked by a Wagner element. Our forces killed over 120 of the element as they tried to cross the river. They were quoted as having said “we kicked their A$$”
That did not repeat an attack again.
I remember the media reported the attackers were some kind of Russian militia who suffered heavy losses. Maybe some Wagner units are better than others. Or some of their commanders are not that great.
Lots of people taken from prisons in Russia to join Wagner Group.
They knew when we hit them that they should not mess with US military.
Ukraine? Leadership sucks big time. Klaus Schwab children, they hate America unless we help them. They do not represent freedom. They cannot wait to joint he WEF.
So. Which is worse? Russia or the Ukraine leaders. (Not saying the Ukraine Citizens and the Chinese Citizens are bad. Both are good people.)
Is the Wagner actually the Putin Praetorian guard TAD to Ukraine?

The TAD to Ukraine was originally intended to be over by late March 2022.
An alternate purpose might have been the Ukrainian occupation force after the war was won

Is it created as a money making venture only to do battle in one limited area of Ukraine?

Plausible deniability. Putin nods their direction with a wink. Our deep state has similar merc groups. The world is incredibly dirty. We need Nuremberg 2.0 and the gallows will stretch hundreds of miles.
After the end of the war, the convicts were returned to finish their sentences.
Over crowding and new convicts tried to control the returning (battle hardened convicts) which turned into what was called "сука война" or "bitch wars" as the story goes it was just brutal, as one could expect.
Moral of the story, don't trust communists, or politicians, but I repeat myself.
In the middle sixties there was a general who said the USSR and the USA would switch places in the future. We would become the commies. He was laughed at. Look around.
Wagner just freed a round of prison recruits in some sort of dog and pony show with the nod of the government with either a pardon or commutation... would guess the latter... after 6 months of service as is stipulated in the contracts they sign. A PR coup. There are about 500,000 Inmates in the Russian hellhole prison system. Almost all of those 500K laughed at Wagner as a joke in the first round after reading the contracts.
I would guess the Ork army will have no problem recruiting these dregs of humanity any longer when showed the video.
Make no mistake, Wagner is Putin's and a billion % loyal to him and Prigozhin.
Wagner has been pissing off the Ruskie "Perfumed Princes" by winning the PR war after it was actually Russian combined forces with the Wagner Orks as the storm trooper tip of the spear and Wagner could never have done it alone.
Putin has had to intervene and stroke egos.
You never build a business like the Evil Chef has by breaking contracts.
