Actually the Governor knows a secret.......Tesla
Ford will not be simply because the company has no products that can compete with Tesla
Presently, Ford barely is

I hope that the batteries used in vehicles have a better record than the ones that power my tools!

Ford will not be simply because the company has no products that can compete with TeslaCompete? There is not a huge demand for EVs. They are all making a huge mistake. Sell all auto stocks now!!!
There is no one in my circle of friends/family that wants an EV. None. My F-I-L wants a E-golf cart does that count?

I understand your point but it is not completely valid.
With regard to trucks, Ford is counting on a major plan for an electric truck that will serve those who actually need and use pickups as working tools. Ford is planning on making an electric F150
Tesla has designed a pickup from scratch as a working truck. The work concept includes features that make it a better work vehicle. It is not intended for everyone. It is intended for those needing a working truck. In spite of some limitations, the Tesla truck will be superior simply because it is better.
I am not a fan of electric vehicles and certainly have no intention of acquiring one. But in Tesla, I see major disruption to existing vehicle markets coming this year as the products come off the production lines by the tens of thousands.
The coming of electric semi’s is a similarly done from absolute scratch design that is going to be interesting as well. It ain’t your daddy’s Pete any more

The Electric F-150 is an EXPENSIVE joke!! It has no range and when using the heater/AC and pulling a trailer the range is around 100 miles. Nobody wants one.

The max GVW of a semi is 80,000#. The last I heard the battery pack alone will weigh in excess of 20,000#. It is not going to work.

'Tis bad enough that we have weirdos running the schools, but actually bringing in MORE from the outside to corrupt the the kids?
'Scuse me, but I have to get some more pearls to clutch!
