Former President Donald Trump has dismissed claims that COVID-19 vaccines are broadly unsafe while asserting that his own role in the development of the vaccines may have saved 100 million lives.
Trump touted the effectiveness of Operation Warp Speed, his administration's program to accelerate the development of COVID-19 vaccines and therapeutics, during a Monday interview on the conservative podcast The Water Cooler.
Host David Brody asked the former president if he would "acknowledge" that the vaccines "were not as safe or effective as we were told....
"I was able to get something approved that, you know, that has proven to have saved a lot of lives," Trump said, ignoring Brody's request to weigh in on the anti-vaccine narrative. "Some people say that I saved 100 million lives worldwide."
Trump touted the speed of vaccine development under his program, saying that he was "able to get [the vaccines] done in nine months...."
..."You have to understand, there are the pros and cons," said Trump. "Some reports [say] that it's the greatest thing that's ever happened and we saved tens of millions of lives. Then you'll read other reports [that] say there were some problems with the vaccine...but relatively small numbers....

That is my take as well. Fauci and Collins tried to discredit the authors of the Great Barrington Declaration that thousands of doctors signed..

I think we are missing the point behind this article. This is the start of the left blaming Trump for the unsafe injection. They will turn hard and come out with “evidence” that he knew they were deadly, yet he used it to promote himself and millions died for his ego. I can see the headlines coming, just in time for 24 (not that we have a chance anymore).
No, he can’t … because the internet is forever, and there is plenty of video evidence of him publicly telling people they should get “vaccinated.”
For all his faults, Trump has at least been consistent about this all along.

How many people here at FR, and how many in the general public had even HEARD of FauXi in 2019?
Dr. Wen might be the dingbat who was a full-blown Branch Covidian in 2020-21, but changed her tune when the damage of her idiocy hit right at home. Was she the one who disavowed her prior COVID idiocy when her child came home from school with a drawing he had made in kindergarten, and all the people in his drawing had no mouths on their faces?
Yeah; I looked her up. Her strong left-leaning creds is what makes it almost astounding that she’s going against the deep state narrative. There has to be a reason, ‘cause openly criticizing the lib handlers is only going to make her life harder. She must have weighed the peer pressure against other repercussions and figured telling the truth is worth it to her.
I think she sees the handwriting on the wall. Her name probably is in the emails and texts that Jim Jordan has access to. They include communications from government feeding talking points to media, and we’ve been told there will be investigations into the collusion to spread lies about Covid.
I have my doubts that he has learned from this mistake. I would like to see him shut up and quit bragging about this obvious fiasco.
Real power from him would be to step up and stop Biden and those Big Pharma liars from continuing to sell this to gullible people. It is still being forced on people all over the world to travel and work. It is being used as a totalitarian tool to control.
Remember, the swine flu vax was taken off the market after 50 deaths..

My husband and I have had covid twice and did fine. I am not a never-vaxer.... have had various vaccines over my lifetime. But I am careful what I put into my body and I will not inject this experimental vax into it. NO.

He responds, with “I was told .....”, “I was able .....”
Importantly, the liar media are trying to get him to go into anti-vaxx mode, so they can bludgeon him with the historical disconnect.
Take a look at what Trump is quoted as saying versus how Newspuke wrote the Title and body. They are stretching his words with their adjectives and false extensions.
The liar media see the anti-vaxx “feeling” rising among the public, whereas just six months ago, the same media aholes were pushing ‘unvaxxed’ as an attribute of MAGA insurrectionism.
And they got the likes of you and your anonymous cowardice screaming “Shaddup Trump! Just shaddup already!”
The shots are not the focus. The shots are largely ok, as long as those getting them don’t stroke out at a later date.
The batches and the persons and groups behind them are what you should focus on.
Right now, like me, you have only seen circumstantial evidence. That won’t hold up in court. I’m different, because I have the scientific and medical background to see what the eff is playing out before us.

I think sometimes people forget covid is a novel virus that wasn’t responding to the usual treatments for viruses
He did increase the speed of approval, but they put out a toxic product, not his fault, they planned it this way.
He does have some responsibility — he trusted them.
A lot of people he trusted that he shouldn’t have.
