Most of the stock market “analysis” written by “experts” on mainstream web sites could easily be replaced by AI.
It is meaningless drivel.

Anybody can write an article written by a liberal "journalist", even AI. Just plug in a couple of relevant talking points, a number or two of made up statistics that "prove" Trump's involvement, flip the switch, and boom - you have another Charles Blow or Piers Morgan article.
The advanced versions of AI will perhaps be able to combine words into unique insults.

You can bet that human reporting will become the minority of what is published.
What are the consequences of this to Free Speech?
Eventually one AI program will come to dominate reporting.
You can bet that the “Style” of that reporting will have a Leftist bent by default.

It’s amazing to me CNet even still exists. It was a great website in the 90s, excellent reviews, great downloads. But boy they went to crap fast. I haven’t gone there in over a decade. From what I saw then AI reporting could only be an improvement.

At least AI will produce proper grammar and spelling.
It would be nice if AI could be objective, but that is dependent on the training, just like the flesh and blood journalists.

These types of software have been around for many years. You add in some key words like Planes, Trains or Automobiles and the software searches the internet and comes back with a generated story. It is then uploaded to a website that has ads on it.
This in turn generates clicks and the person makes a few dollars a day. The will have dozens or hundreds of sites that the article gets posted to.
The money now adds up to a big income.
You do a search for something and you find yourself at ad farms results or a website that does not really make sense for what you were looking for.
You notice as the phrasing and sentence structure is not correct.
The new software may be better and if so then many writers are out of a job. You can bet that the local newspapers which are pretty thin on stories these days will be using this as will tv news sites.
