Russia appears to be hinting that another mobilization round might be coming in an effort by the Kremlin to meet its war demands in Ukraine.
State Duma Deputy Viktor Sobolev announced on Friday that Russian reservists who are 30 and older and have no military experience will be trained after adopting a law that would change the call-up age for conscripts, Russian news agency URA.RU reported.
"Those who are over 30 years old will be called up for training in order to learn a military specialty to prevent them being cannon fodder," the agency quoted Sobolev as saying.

Sounds like he is saying that those troops that have already been called up are cannon fodder.
I think the forum has a handful of 70 year olds, who early on made some noise about fighting for Kiev. Check it out, it’s worth a shot.
If they are press ganging folks off the street, that’s a draft. Mobilization is the process—having the nation ‘gear up.’
A draft is a component of mobilization. Other components are the conversion of manufacturing, rationing, and diversion of commodities.
Did you serve in any military force in a NATO member nation?
The real fun begins with those, who for whatever reason, are deemed *exempt* from conscription. There is quite a list if you think about it.
On the flip side, there are reports that they are conscripting under 30 prisoners. And prisoners are notorious for being bad soldiers. Those prisoners over 30 are likely career criminals, and are even worse.
Never let secret policemen run a war.
