Report – Democrats Continue Push for Reparations, National Apology for Slavery, Which ‘Infects Current Society’

Multiple House Democrats are reportedly pushing again for reparations and a national apology for slavery, according to Fox News.

The group reintroduced legislation to create a commission whose members would address slavery in America, and one Democrat hopes the nation can deal with the issue, the outlet continued Thursday: Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, and 52 House Democrats proposed the legislation this week in an effort to keep the issue alive. Her legislation, which was considered by the House Judiciary Committee in the last Congress when Democrats were in charge, is unlikely to taken up in the 118th Congress led by Republicans.

“Though some have tried to deflect the importance of these conversations by focusing on individual monetary compensation, the real issue is whether and how this nation can come to grips with the legacy of slavery that still infects current society,” she said. “Through legislation, resolutions, news, and litigation, we are moving closer to making more strides in the movement toward reparations.”

Well, the Democrats are the Party of Slavery, so if they want to apologize for it, nobody is stopping them.

The democrat party needs hate and violence to empower their socialist nazi agenda. That’s why they manipulate black people with these fraudulent ‘treats’. AND JUST THINK WHAT THAT MEANS ABOUT THE DEMON RATS, HOW THEY DISTAIN BLACK PEOPLE AS MERELY PAWNS FOR MANIPUALTING.

My maternal great grandmother was a descendant of house slaves. Her dowry included farm land, and six slaves (one was her half sister and close companion that the family maintain until she died into the 20th Century). Do I git or give?

You know, they never ask well what about the people who came here after slavery ended the people that immigrated here or what about people like my family, who helped with the underground railroad and were Quakers and not slave owners

None of that matters. This is a shakedown, period. Truth or facts be damned, unless they can stroke it for more bucks. If this reparations were based on facts and fairness, they would likely owe the US govt money, for being so hospitable and giving them such tremendous opportunity that no one else in the WORLD has.

I want reparations for all the social welfare payments made in the last 100 years paid by me, my parents and my grandparents.
I’m owed big time.

I read somewhere that 8% of Southerners owned slaves.

I too, heard of free blacks owning slaves in the South; some even had white indentured servants.

I’ve heard of blacks in the Confederate army, too.

Funny how the history books gloss over such facts.

I read an account written in the 1860’s about a Confederate enlisted man who was captured by the Yankees in Virginia.

He was sitting on the ground, with his arms tied behind his back.

A Union officer approached him, looked down at him and said, “Why are you fighting?”

The Confederate soldier looked up at the Union officer and said, “Because you’re HERE!”

Slavery in US history is one of those twisted historical events where only certain aspects are highlighted and others are forgotten, where that entire chapter is vastly over exaggerated because it fits a current political agenda.

Today in Saudi Arabia you have modern day slaves. Technically they did away with slavery in 1962, but in reality they still have it, just hidden behind bureaucratic policies and definitions that amount to the same, but without chains: https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2022/sep/27/modern-day-slavery-kenyan-domestic-workers-tell-of-abuse-in-saudi-arabia (They have zero rights, they get their passports taken away when they arrive, their owners are known to beat them...)

You have them in Germany (Turkish guest workers in the past), here in the US (H1B visa’s tied to a job)... Slavery changes it’s definition, but humans have ALWAYS exploited other people. The same party which ended slavery in the US brought in Chinese workers to build a transcontinental railroad within 10 years after the Civil War and these people were de facto “slaves.” The Chinese use North Koreans as slaves today...

Some of the nastiest and longest lasting slavery was that by the Muslim invaders on Christians. No one wants to talk about that today and it is probably not in our kids history books. ***That narrative would not fit the socio-political objective.***

Women were abducted and used for sex (and we romanticize the harem today), young boys were made into soldiers and then used to kill their own people in the areas they were abducted in: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janissary This went on for 600 years... Heck, in Google you can’t even hardly find anything on this, but type in ANYTHING regards the US and slavery related and you’ll get and endless list.

It’s like the Tuskegee airmen which while a true story and definitely deserving some attention, played a smaller role in their impact on the over all war, amount of resources devoted to them, how many there were, how men lost their lives... Yet you have many movies, books, TV shows, news articles, and thousands of web entries about them: https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-lm&q=tuskegee+airmen

Meanwhile, Paul Tibbet’s had is ashes scattered and a funeral in near secrecy because the family was afraid of protestors: https://sofrep.com/news/this-is-why-paul-tibbets-doesnt-have-a-grave/ (Isn’t this sick?!?!?!) The man is a hero, he risked his life for this country and fought honorably. Did you read or see this in the MSM, that his funeral was in near secret because of a concern for protestors? What gets highlighted in the history books and what not, what is in the movies or the news is highly dependent on how it can be used by those pushing various political or social agendas. You see this with all that January 6 garbage today while ANTIFA and BLM riots are literally downplayed.

Back to slavery: It’s always been, it is, and likely will always be.

Do you know how they did studies how the people that win the lottery a lot of them end up killing themselves? Makes me wonder if this is just another scheme by the left to kill off minorities

Not saying the slavery in the US was right, but it's vastly over exaggerated in it's significance and only looked at in a certain way (excluding all the other aspects that don't fit in).

How many libtards shopping on Amazon, with their newest Iphone and driving their Tesla are worried about the slaves in a CHICOM sweatshop making their junk?

How many folks with “zero emission” cars or their fancy Iphone worry about the child labor in Africa mining for that cobalt used in the batteries in their car and phones? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7x4ASxHIrEA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_V3bIzNX4co

Meanwhile, Amazon offered free movies on the “black experience” in America in the run up for the 2020 elections, why was that? Why did BLM appear one year before the elections and just vaporize shortly thereafter? It's all just about what issue can be used to push some political or social agenda, but Bezos which didn't want Trump elected (Trump imposed trade tariffs on the PRC) used the black issue to his advantage. This all a while he has people working in cages at Amazon, in a business offering poor benefits, disproportionately minorities, and selling 75% of their products made in PRC (no OSHA, use of child labor, no EPA, use of forced labor, no unions, oppression of religion, no free speech, controlled media...).

Do you see the irony here? Bezos that basically runs a modern day sweatshop and who peddles off junk made by slaves under horrible conditions in part, used the American black slavery issue to push his own political agenda. This is so contradicting it's funny, and no one notices or even cares if you point it out!

None of my ancestors, not a single one, was even present in this country until the late 1880s, and none of them had any wealth to speak of (and certainly not enough to buy and support slaves, if such were even legal then) until at least the 1950s. My grandfather was discriminated against in the US Army during WW2, because he was Jewish (he was only a Lt., and every other doctor was at least a Captain), and my mother was denied admission in the late 1950s to a school for which she was eminently qualified...yet I am not seeking any reparations.
