I think it’s more than that I think that they think that the Russians are like them they’ll just talk about doing things but not actually do them, As if they were typical American politicians running for election

How about we let other nations decide their own fate and we don’t decide for them we don’t build up armies like we did with Ukraine since 2014. I get that you hate to hear it, But the Ukraine brought this on themselves Russia told them if they didn’t quit doing what they were doing that they were gonna get invaded but they kept doing what they were doing at the behest of NATO and the CIA types that were whispering sweet nothings into the Ukraine’s presidents ears

Allow me to remind everyone that every time you post a link to Yahoo, you are providing a scum, communist liar with support.

Communist scribblers are given one-quarter of a penny for every view they get on Yahoo. One-thousand views pays them $25. That money allows them to pay for rent, food, beer and dope. By not clicking on Yahoo links, you are starving a communist and likely throwing them out of their rental and onto the street.

Do not post Yahoo communist garbage.

The World Socialist Web Site agrees with the Putinistas here. Have a look at some of the headlines there today.

“German politicians and media demand Leopard battle tanks for Kiev, further escalating danger of world war”

“NATO recklessly escalates war against Russia”

“SGP holds powerful Berlin election rally against war” [socialist organization]

“No tank deliveries to Ukraine! Stop the threat of a third world war!”

“Zelensky government expands media censorship”

“Ukrainian parliament, army leadership celebrate birthday of the fascist mass murderer Bandera”

“DECEMBER 10 INTERNATIONAL IYSSE RALLY: ‘FOR A MASS MOVEMENT OF STUDENTS AND YOUTH TO STOP THE WAR IN UKRAINE’”

“But it’s not. Ukraine neither posed nor poses an existential threat to Russia.”

Whether we think it is or not (It actually is) The object gets to decide that. If someone walks up your sidewalk, YOU get to decide whether or not he is a threat. You might be wrong, but it behooves the guy to make it clear that he is not the threat you perceive.

yes exactly

that’s why Europe sees Russia as a threat now, because Russia invaded Ukraine unprovoked

so Europe gets to decide what it considers a threat

There will not be much left of the RGF, Naval Infantry, which leaves only the Russian Navy and Airforce - both of which have major problems. The only thing one might worry about is their Boomers.

This whole nuke thing is not going to happen - Russia is not that stupid - it would backfire big time

And yes Ukraine is. Because you could ask the same thing of Poland, Taiwan, Hawaii etc.

Nonsense. Someone walking down the sidewalk is just someone walking down the sidewalk. He has to DO something that suggests a threat before he can be judged a threat. Unless you are a paranoid, as Russia is and historically has been; in which case anything and everything is perceived as threatening.

“And yes Ukraine is. Because you could ask the same thing of Poland, Taiwan, Hawaii etc.”

You are conflating, disingenuously, locations where the US has essential interests worthy of fighting existential war over, with Ukraine...and Poland.

The essential interests the US has in Taiwan and Hawaii are obvious to the average 5th grader.

Yet, neocon intellectuals struggle mightily to come up with any interest whatsoever in Poland and Ukraine.

Because there are NO REAL INTERESTS.
