WASHINGTON — The final report by the House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection will provide the most comprehensive account yet of what led to the worst attack on the Capitol in more than 200 years. But it’s not likely to include all of the evidence the panel collected in its 18-month investigation. Congress is not subject to the Freedom of Information Act, and House rules, which lawmakers approve with each new Congress, set an at minimum two-decade timeline before the public can see records that are preserved.
That means that potentially millions of pages of depositions, cellphone and text records, emails, staff notes and analysis by outside organizations compiled as part of the committee’s investigation that don’t make it into the official final report or aren’t released before the end of the year won’t become public for decades — if they ever do at all...
The select committee’s website could go offline as soon as a new Congress is sworn in.
Information on the website will be preserved online by the National Archives, which harvests the contents of congressional websites at the end of each Congress. The National Archives works with the Internet Archive, a San Francisco nonprofit, to scrape websites and save the information for public use. Video, links, search capabilities and some other information may not survive the process....

They need to hurry up and release the 14,000 hours of surveillance video from that day like Matt Gaetz said today. Otherwise it’s going to be put away for decades like the Kennedy assassination files.

(2) The Archivist is directed to transfer any noncurrent records of a committee designated by the Speaker pursuant to section 7(b)(1) of House Resolution 503, One Hundred Seventeenth Congress, and related to the select committee established pursuant to such resolution which have been archived pursuant to rule VII to the Committee on House Administration not later than January 17, 2023.
(3) Any records transferred or withdrawn pursuant to this subsection shall become the records of the Committee on House Administration.

attempt to turn over the government, even though all people
wanted was for the votes to be verified to their satisfaction.
Well, here’s my question to the Scamacrats. If you had no intention of ever releasing all the information, then WHY IN THE HELL DID YOU BOTHER IN THE FIRST PLACE? WHAT GOOD DID ALL THIS DO?

The great irony is that it is not possible for any attempt to overturn this government to be sinister, because the government itself is sinister.
I agree with that, but if you look at the list of weapons
folks had one them on 01/06, it’s just a criminal act to
describe those actions as an attempt to take over the
government.
Our government isn’t much help right now, but we aren’t the
only people with a bad government these days.

Back in those days, DC policemen did their jobs professionally. RIP to those who died in the line of duty.
If their evidence is so damning, as they have been saying, you would think they would be eager to release it to the public.
