On Monday morning, a viral video began circulating of a man in San Francisco hosing down a woman sitting on the ground in front of Barbarossa Lounge on Montgomery Street. With a hose in hand, the man starts spraying her directly in the face as she shouts and tries to shield her body from the oncoming blasts of water in the video.

He will probably go to jail, too.
Good for him!
Setting an example that other property owners need to follow when assaulted by these bums!
Yes, living on the sidewalk in FRont of a home or a business is assault!
Maybe the a$$hole bum will go and infest the property of one of the faux outrage whiners if she gets hosed down enough. Bums do real damage to businesses when they camp on the business property.
Thing is, she’s probably quite insane.
Property owners shouldn’t have to deal with this themselves.
Maybe should have just set up a sprinkler and claimed he was watering his property. It should be the job of the police to prevent vagrancy, but obviously they can’t do that anymore.
Property owners should be allowed to deal with this on their own. But if she is insane, she should be locked up for her own good.
I think we have to quit jumping to conclusions that these
people are all mentally ill. Some of them undoubtedly are,
but there are plenty of lazy people out there who are
perfectly happy to live their life on the street knowing
they will be given food and goodies all the time.
This isn’t me making it up either. I’ve seen interviews
where the street person says this themselves. They get
tents, jackets, other clothing, blankets, and some do-
gooder or another is constantly handing out things to
these people because they feel sorry for them.
This so such a problem, that some municipalities have
had to come up with laws against people handing things
out to the homeless.
I saw a woman cited for it the other day.
All these people could go to a place that would feed them
and help them clean up and get back to work, IF they wanted
to. They don’t.
California has half the homeless in the nation. The hand
outs, the government goodies, the relative decent life
they have become accustomed to, suits them just fine.
I don’t have much sympathy for anyone becoming a blight on
a business. The business owner has years of his life
and wealth on the line, to support their family.
Now these people and the government attack them at will.
And make no mistake about it, creating a blight that
causes people not to feel safe if they use this business,
is an attack on these people’s ability to make a living.
At no time, should the homeless be given priority over
people who are doing their best to be productive members
of society.
It’s just preposterous what business owners are being
demanded to put up with.
The SF Cathedral installed showers on the ceilings of porches, since homeless slept outside the many doors of the cathedral. Losers complained that the Cathedral was mean to turn on cold showers for homeless sleeping by the doors. Meanwhile, the Cathedral feeds more homeless than the losers every day.
When I was a in MS/HS (1980’s), my dad would stop at McDonalds on the way to school 3/5 days of the week for breakfast. Ya ya not healthy, but whatever.
Anyway, we lived in south Florida. In winter, the same 5-10 bums would be at that McDonald’s every morning. They would buy a bottomless cup of coffee and sit there forever.
After a year or two, my dad started talking to them.
They were all what I would call societal dropouts. I’m sure they had some mental issues, and I bet 75% of them were Vietnam war vets.
But all of them said that they didn’t want a home, a job, a woman, or any responsibility. They wanted to live a care free life.
That had an impact on how I feel about the homeless. It’s hard to unhear that.
Interesting story.
One told by self-help guy Anthony Robbins is from when he was trying to teach his little boy to not grow up as a typical millionaire celebrity’s son, so he had him go down to the end of a sidewalk by himself and hand a stringy haired and grizzly looking homeless man a gift of money.
The boy did so and suddenly the man’s hand shot out and he grabbed the boy’s wrist and held it firmly. Robbins raced as fast as he could, thinking “Oh, my God, what have I done?”
As he got there the man was smiling at Robbins’ son and saying “Thank you. Thank you for caring.”
I think the very best way to support the homeless, is to
contribute to the reputable shelters out there.
They try to help people.
I’m like you in that you can’t undo what you’ve heard them
say. It is what it is.
I think it was a mistake to let all the mentally ill folks
out on the streets to fend for themselves. Never mind that
though. The Left would play it up how we were holding
people against their will. Again, never mind they would
be so much better off.
A few months ago, I saw no homeless in Memphis…
>That had an impact on how I feel about the homeless. It’s hard to unhear that.
I used to feed a homeless guy in Japan. Same thing, he lost his job and just got used to living outside the system. He was a decent guy too. Most people homeless nowadays seem to be drug users and the mentally ill. The veterans/tired of it alls are still there, but I’d say 75% now just want to shoot up in peace.
Half of them are mentally ill and the other half are addicted to drugs and alcohol.
The first thing I noticed is that he seemed relatively normal and wasn’t terribly unkempt.
The next thing I observed, after passing through the intersection, was that more than 90% of the business establishments within half a mile of that guy had “Help Wanted” signs posted in their windows.
It gets pretty cold there. Potential homeless there may
have relocated to warmer more generous climates.
What I don’t get, is where they get the money to buy drugs
and alcohol.
This guy sounds like he might be a person that does this for
a living. He may be renting and doing pretty good for
himself.
We have people out here that get caught once in a while.
They panhandle on the street, walk to blocks back to their
Mercedes and drive to a nice home on the other end of the
San Fernando Valley.
About a year or two ago there was a viral video of a man who built a tiny ‘home’ for a homeless women he saw in the woods near his home.
Everybody said how sweet and nice it was for him.
No one bothered to ask what the neighbors thought of this on the street in front of their houses.
No one question where she was going to get water or bathroom facilities.
Even the homeless woman looked at him like “what the eff am I going to do with that?”
The bleeding hearts always come up with these ‘solutions’ that cause more problems than they solve.
