One piece of garbage was committing armed robbery and one hero stopped him. If the hero decided on execution so be it, he never would have had the chance had there been no armed robbery. The idea that good people have a legal responsibility to be merciful to predators like the deceased is part of why our system provides no justice.
coup de grace
I’m saying you in New York or Virginia have no clue. It’ll be fine. What kinda idiot tries to rob a taqueria? He did and got his lamp blowed out. That is EXACTLY how it will play out in Texas.
6 years for cold-blooded murder? Black privilege indeed.
Cooperating with police and the DA. Big mistake on his part.
Very true...
In the UK the hero would have been brought up on charges.
I believe that being no-billed in TX provides a number of civil protections. Bringing this to a GJ may be doing the hero a favor.
The threat was STOPPED. End of story. As long as that perp was moving he could still kill someone. My worry is this DA who can’t understand normal thinking will stir up the BLM clowns claiming this poor poor unarmed black man (after all it was only an Airsoft gun) was just trying to feed his kids and the man who shot him was so overcome with white supremacy he needs to be imprisoned for life. I pray for that hero.
And a legit one, not just an ideological “Soros DA.”
Soros spent $500,000 getting her elected.
Clever.
But Hero gave the perp a coup de gras to the head while standing over the perp's still body "Dirty Harry" style.
That's dangerously close to an execution, and how it could be manslaughter, or second degree homicide.
Then Hero cleaned out the pockets of the perp and redistributed money back to the patrons. Very cool customer, our Hero.
I’m going to be surprised if the shooter turns out to have legally had a gun, and isn’t part of the crime world himself.
The guy did the final headshot and then when leaving the food joint threw his coffee cup at the body, and he drives that old beater truck, a guy like that, at his age, is bound to have a little violence in his past.
I have no issue with this piece of human filth being dead. What I’m saying is that the threat has to be reassessed. Taking the time to walk up to him and put one in his brain indicates reassessment. But I haven’t seen the full video. Legally, I would think they bring charges.
I don’t know what he’s saying, but I’ll tell you what I’m saying: The police won’t protect us. Prosecutors and judges take up for the criminals. We the People need to look out for each other. That includes looking out for each other in the courtroom. NO WAY IN HELL would I indict or convict this citizen. If you would, you’re part of the problem.
I did watch the video. There’s no way the customer knew the perp had a toy gun. And, there’s no telling what actions the perp would take while in the restaurant.
Wasting ammo?
2. Once a threat is stopped, you should stop shooting.
3. Walking up and putting one in the skull on video doesn't look great.
Did you see him shoot the guy after relieving him of his weapon? Or is that OK where you are from?
As I wrote, I wouldn’t vote to indict, but that is going to be a sticking point.
I’m fine with how the event played out. I’m concerned that last shot is going to be a problem for the good guy.
#3 is why we need to look out for each other. That headshot may not “look great”, but there’s absolutely no justice in hanging a conviction (or even an indictment) on the defensive shooter because of it.
