his one member motion to vacate is ridiculous. So one disgruntled member can tie up the whole House? Anyone not believe that Boebert or Gaetz will try it?

?/\

Its called

Checks
And
Balances

It USED to be a foundational premise of our Republic.

It’s a good , nay, necessary thing.

4000 page omnivoupusa bill no one can read in 3 hours is what we ended up with with out it.

Has to be a constitutional amendment - certainly worth a try.

I rather hope the effort to keep that RINO out of the speakership succeeds in full

Much as we'd like to see it, not going to happen.

Fixing some rules changes is a big deal and can prevent the uniparty dual money grab at year end.

I'll be happy if we can win that.

Nothing is going anywhere. This would have happened with the 20 or without.

These folks can gum up the works for two years.

In my book that’s a great thing, when Kevin McCarthy backtracks on any deal he makes to become speaker, which he likely will do then there a potential remedy.

Per talking heads on War Room, he will do ANYTHING to keep the Speaker position, including making these promises. (Which he probably would not keep, even if in writing.) Too many of his supporters are depending on him to protect them from the constituents knowing the truth about them; their alliances with CCP and lobbyists; and other shenanigans. As Speaker, he would have the power.

You see this as a bad thing? A house that does absolutely nothing is an improvement.

Probably why he hasn’t committed to releasing the J6 files- i guarantee there’s plenty in those files that would embarrass McCarthy and the other RINO’s

Where’s the border bill?

It’s been on the books for 80 years. It’s not being enforced.

It follows like day after night: absolutely frightened that the Republicans will settle and take away their grounds for making snarky “Yeah but!” comments, the Surrender Monkey Caucus gets into high screech.
Yeah but
Yeah but
Yeah but
The one member motion to vacate the Speaker’s chair makes all their yeah buts meaningless.

The leverage they have with the House is to say NO to more spending and deficits until the Omnibus is cured and the USA government starts being fiscally responsible. If Biden/Senate refuse to cure the Omnibus and stop deficit spending then the House can simply say “no more federal spending from Oct 1, 2023 to January 2025; and time for the States to lead the way”. DC has become too corrupt. Having the federal level all shut off on spending and tax collecting for at least 15 months could give everyone a good reality check.

And...the more time Democrats spend on this, the less time they have to screw up America.

Of course he caves, if you’re a Republican, it’s what you do.

Well, for once a Republican is caving to Conservatives instead of communists.
