Ditching his signature black hoodie and shorts for a dark gray suit on Tuesday, John Fetterman was sworn in as the junior senator from Pennsylvania. Video recorded at the event showed the newly minted senator frequently looking to his ambitious wife, Gisele, for direction.
When Vice President Kamala Harris congratulated him, Fetterman uttered only a curt thank you and a quick handshake.
In the clip below, Fetterman barely moves or acknowledges what is going on around him. His wife is seen handling the interactions and calling all the shots.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Fetterman did not speak to reporters and made no public remarks afterward.
No one can actually be surprised by the scene that played out on Tuesday. Fetterman’s suffered a stroke in May 2022.
Following the stroke, Gisele became the driving force behind his campaign. So much so, in fact, that Fox News published an article titled, “Is John Fetterman’s wife, Gisele, the ‘de facto candidate’ for Pennsylvania Senate?”
Gisele, according to the report, “has worked to make a name for herself in the Pennsylvania political arena over the last few weeks as she speaks on her husband’s behalf in certain situations.”

It was sad to see the lack of interaction with his children. It looked like his daughter tried to hold his hand at the end but he didn’t seem aware that she was there. Maybe it was just nervousness at the photo shoot. Or from his stroke. Hopefully he hasn’t been this way with his children all the time.
Rita Cosby, on her radio show, said that Fetterman has lost his ability to hear. We know he uses a closed captioning system, where speech is converted into printed words to be read off of a screen. This is his only way too understand what others around him are saying to him in public.
It doesn’t matter the rats have the seat.
Sen. Fetterman has “auditory processing disorder” - difficulty organizing what he hears, because he is a bit slow to understand some things. (So sayeth the Internet.) Apparently is not “hard of hearing.”
Here in the Pittsburgh area we elected two new Democrat congresscritters who are outright socialists in all but name. One openly called to defund the police.
I’m sure he legitimately beat Dr Oz in the election. 🙄
Cf my tagline.
Seems to be a trend prop up the feeble inept dementia riddled mentally ill spouce
I have always said - Pittsburghers would vote for a pile of stinky dog turds if there was a sign with a “D” on the pile.
They are still in the “Republicans is fer da rich people, Democrats is fer da workin’ man.” mindset.
Fetterman and our two representatives are proof positive of the stinky dog turds.
In a hundred years, it will be the same thing.
Notice with Kammala they did now show the swearing in, just the after moment, I wonder why they do not show the actual swearing in.
Not much different from all the other “lost” senators we have...:)
When the average Senate age is pushing 70 plus years old it’s time to retire some of the fossils. I wonder if someone like Feinstein even knows what year it is anymore.
Substantially similar.
I know nothing about Fetterman.
But...... he reminds me of a Biker Bar movie stereotype character
Yuppers,
Biscuits and Mustard ain’t All bad.
One strange movie.
“Voters, by a substantial margin, repeatedly choose the dumbest option possible.”
Nope. The counters chose him. The voters were mostly irrelevant.
Heh probably true
But we still have a lot of MSM-driven sheep 🐑🐑🐑
The worst part of his swearing in was when his wife called their kids to come up for a photo Fedderman had no emotional response at all. I mean none. He didn’t smile, hug anyone, or even indicate that he knew who they were. It was actually disturbing.
The vote PA vote counters chose him. The voters were mostly irrelevant.
And he’s as coherent as Uncle Joe
Uncle FesterMental didn’t look lost, he was lost. And a majority of Pennsylvanians love it.
