The co-founder of a queer Indigenous artists' collective in Wisconsin who has claimed to be Native American is being accused of being a white woman and has since stepped down from her community positions.
Kay LeClaire, who also went by the name Nibiiwakamigkwe, also identifies as 'two-spirit,' which is a term many Indigenous people use to describe a non-binary gender identity....
...She has claimed Métis, Oneida, Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, Cuban and Jewish heritage, but AdvancedSmite reportedly used online records and resources to find LeClaire's true lineage – German, Swedish and French Canadian...
...LeClaire, who is a member and co-owner of the artist collective giige, has earned several artists' stipends, a paid residency at the University of Wisconsin, a place on the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women Task Force and many speaking gigs...

Thanks, I did not look...
Where did this ‘two-spirit’ nonsense come from? Back when Coronado was looking for the 7 Cities of Cibola they found a village of homo Indians who had been driven out of other Indian villages.
And George Catlin mentioned “dandies” among the Mandans who were so disliked by the rest of the tribe that they demanded he destroy their portraits rather than have them in the same room with the dandy or destroy the dandy’s painting. He destroyed the Dandy’s painting.
The editors of his books on American Indians made it clear these were the “sex perverts” of the tribes.

“She can. The problem arises because she was using her new identity to scam grants and other payment sources.”
Not a problem if she can identify as whatever she wants. If a man can claim to be a woman and enter athletic competitions as a woman then she did nothing wrong.
It’s clearly intersectional for her.
Her interest in justice for Native Americans intersects with her interest in taking vanity selfies dressed up in cute outfits with beads and feathers and stuff.
It’s weird how many crackers claim they are American Indians.
Kay Dolezal
A likely FBI informant too.
I was two spirit on Christmas Eve...I had a Bombay Sapphire Martini (dirty with jalapeno-garlic stuffed olives) and later on, had a Noah’s Mill bourbon Old Fashioned! And I was still oriented as genetically programmed afterwards.
She should move to Massachusetts and run for the Senate.
Perhaps the only true part of her story is that she is a lesbian....but that might also be a lie. Those crazy leftists!!
i had a stepson who was white and blond blue eyed and was part
Oneida,as his dad was and his mother had some indian in her as well. not defending this women, but many indians are white
ROTFL! I always assumed two spirit was an ancient Native American term. I just read it originated in 1990 at LGBTQWERTY Native American homosexual meeting. More LGBTWTF Newspeak BS.
How about the dandy injun who said “Come rest and sleep on soft furs, Little Big Man.”
I assumed two-spirit was ancient Native American wisdom. T’other day, I read it originated from LGBTQWERTY conference in 1990. Catlin must be right: Native Americans didn’t honor sex perverts.
LOL - could be...
Princess Summer Fall Winter Spring?
story update:
two-spirit was passing indian-made crafts as her own creations - and two-spirit is married to a dude! Does that make her three-spirit?

Aren’t they supposed to bury her next to an ant hill with just her head sticking out, then pour honey on her head and watch the ant eat her. Or is that a different tribe?
