The phrase "thoughts and prayers" has been spoken, texted and tweeted countless times since Damar Hamlin went into cardiac arrest on Monday Night Football.
One ESPN analyst took the phrase to heart Tuesday, praying for Hamlin on live TV.
As Hamlin remains in critical condition, Dan Orlovsky said a prayer for the Buffalo Bills safety during Tuesday's edition of "NFL Live."
"God, we come to you in these moments that we don't understand, that are hard, because we believe that you're God, and coming to you and praying to you has impact," Orlovsky said.
"We're sad, we're angry, and we want answers, but some things are unanswerable. We just want to pray, truly come to you and pray for strength for Damar, for healing for Damar, for comfort for Damar, to be with his family, to give them peace. If we didn't believe that prayer didn't work, we wouldn't ask this of you, God. I believe in prayer, we believe in prayer. We lift up Damar Hamlin's name in your name. Amen."

Amen
I agree, it is nice to see. I am surprised that the left hasn’t had a meltdown yet and demanded his head on a plate.
This happened just a few hours ago- give it time.
Nice to see the gesture. He didn’t say “Jesus,” so there’s a chance he keeps his job. Well done, Orlovsky.
This particular kind of heart failure happens from BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA, like what happened to my work colleague, or from a car wreck, or from taking a hit to the middle of the chest from a baseball that's just been batted.
That tackle that Hamlin made doesn't come anywhere close to the blunt-force trauma described. This is the Lamestream Media's attempt to keep vaxx-induced cardio myopathy out of the headlines. Notice how they INSTANTLY started telling us what happened to Hamlin.
How are they going to explain it when basketball players drop dead on the court, or it happens to another footballer who wasn't involved in a tackle...
“The prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
Had a guy liken Hamlin to the Hank Gathers who dunked the ball and dropped DRT
Amen, God has to be first in this country gain!
“ He didn’t say “Jesus,” so there’s a chance he keeps his job”
You can still use it - as long as it’s a derogatory curse word
Welp, how nice!
Pray on TV, but he didn’t use the name of God’s Son - Jesus.
Might as well have prayed to “allah”….
This is very encouraging to see.
ESPN's "woke" agenda aside, sports at every level from pee wee on up has always recognized the power of prayer.
Myocarditis would make such a blow more likely to cause the heart to stop.
As we all know, myocarditis is one of the most common adverse side effects of the experimental vaccines.
Hope he fully recovers.
Then Fox and ESPN takes over Coverage and says - these guys really love each other, players from one team go out with players from other teams, and they are like family, brothers.
Yet, YESTERDAY, a player hit a QB and injured him, and while he writhed in pain, the guy that injured him laid next to him and did 15-25 Snow Angels. Then when he went to the sideline as Medical personnel treated him, he did the Asleep gesture in celebration- that he put him to sleep.
And no players, coaches, announcers, networks (other than his own coach) - criticized his actions. In fact, Sunday Night FB, censored it - and didn’t even mention it while mocking the performance of the injured QB.
Isn’t Tony Dungy the fake moral arbiter for NFL coverage? He couldn’t find it in him to criticize the thug, like every other member of the Liberal Sports Media.
Some people want to be lied to, I don’t want the lies nor hypocrisy.
“Prayers of The Righteous: The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16
We should ask was this the first time he prayed, and why on TV?
Mathew 6:6:
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
I saw Dungy’s reaction yesterday and he’s an appalling example of what morality in the NFL is.
The angry act and ridiculous facial expressions make me turn the tube off.
Choked up.
“That tackle that Hamlin made doesn’t come anywhere close to the blunt-force trauma described.”
And your medical degree is from which Holiday Inn?
