* House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy failed in a third vote to secure enough votes to be elected Speaker, throwing the party into into uncertainty.
* After the first ballot resulted in votes for several Republicans, the latest round saw McCarthy’s opponents coalesce around a new contender: Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio, a longtime McCarthy ally.
* It is the first time in 100 years that the majority party has failed to coalesce around a candidate for Speaker, and it was uncertain what McCarthy’s next steps would be.

What “Republican crisis” is this Democrat talking about? Far as I’m concerned the voting process is working as it should, and it is a credit to all of the anti-McCarthy voters! God bless them all!
Effectively, a total shutdown of the legislative branch. There may be some marginal virtue in that circumstance, but it will leave Joe Stolen issuing directives in the form of Executive Orders, which in the absence of any other legislative initiatives, effectively become the law of the land.

Not quite. House members Matt Gaetz, Anna Paulina Luna, Lauren Boeberr, and others explained they presented their conditions to McCarthy who dismissed them, treated them as if they are unworthy of his time. He’s had the liar nedia covering for him, putting out lies about the “renegades”, nauseous Joe Scarborough today called those not voting for McCarthy enemies of democracy or some such. I think we can see what’s going on here.
Here’s an info nugget for you:
First, I did a deep dive on Trump in August 2015 and posted findings here on FR. My mind was blown as I identified with his upbringing, his influencers (e.g. Pastor Norman Vincent Peale, General Douglas MacArthur, his attendance at West Point Prep School NY Military Academy), his father and their incredible work ethic, his Mother Mary Trump and her devotion to the Church, his closeness and collaboration with Mayor Rudy Giuliani on taking down the five mobster families, his closeness to JFK Jr, his awareness of Hillary Clinton’s crime syndicate, and JFK Jr’s US Senate run, his awareness of who really was involved in assassinating President Kennedy, his deep deep knowledge of history, American history, military history, TACTICS, so many many more things, a book could be written. Trump is one in a billion.
But the key takeaway I learned, which puzzles and sometimes infuriates those that don’t know Trump, is that he, like General George Washington can be a generous gentle spirit to those in need and loyal to the country, while beguiling his enemies with deceit, disinformation, and traps, all staged like a convincing, persuasive actor.
Wars are won by outspying the enemy, setting traps around disinformation, gathering Intel the enemy doesn’t know about. I know it’s horrible, but that’s the reality of war. Donald Trump is a master at it.
The important thing I learned was not to listen to what he says, but to watch what he does behind the scenes and the results of his actions. For example, he created a nedia frenzy years ago where he said he was going to reveal where he thought Barack Obama was truly born. The news of his coming announcement spread like wildfire across the world. The liar media was ready to pounce on him. An enormous media gathering took place with long knives out. Trump came into view and everything went silent, dead silence ..... and he announced he thought Barack Obama was ..... born in the United States. The media melted down in frustration and disappointment. But that event took attention away from what he was really doing.
However, Trump lied. Importantly, just as General Washington lied repeatedly to British Double Agents without them knowing, Trump will infuriate America’s enemies with lies. They will rage how he lies, and they’re right about that. Too bad for them.
But it can confuse his supporters. But they remain loyal because they learn that he says things, but does other things; Words vs. Actions. He’s Honorable to the Country, but a devil to his enemies, same as so many Generals in history. He also is expert on Sun Tsu’s ‘The Art of War’.
So when Trump endorsed McCarthy, not once, but twice, I and others were left scratching our heads. Because, as Andy Biggs says, McCarthy is an Alligator in the Swamp.
I scratched my head not because I believed Trump really meant to endorse McCarthy, but because I couldn’t see what his game was.
Then I saw it. And it was a beauty.
Trump was after Pelosi and her sham J6 Committee that she put together. He knew she participated in organizing a false flag operation that was to be used as a media narrative of “insurrection” by Trump.

What Trump was after were Pelosi emails because they showed clearly her deliberate actions leading up to January 6th.
Two House Members in December 2022, knew how to get Pelosi’s emails.
But ..... to get them officially with authority, these Members had to go and first get McCarthy to sign off on it. McCarthy, as House Minority Leader and aspiring Speaker, needed votes because he was short.
Enter Trump. McCarthy signed off on retrieving Pelosi’s damning emails in exchange for Trump’s endorsement.
The above is long, but at least now you will be able to explain, if you are asked and are inclined, how-why Trump seemed to be for McCarthy.

Kinda sounds like you are saying the ex liar in chief wants everybody to vote for the establishment-in-waiting guy who is selling him support in a classic swamp move. But not really or something.
One thing is clear. Trump is campaigning as the new establishment candidate for prez.
