Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is quickly becoming the favorite of the globalist RINO mega donors who want to “move on” from Donald Trump.
Ken Griffin, a globalist RINO mega donor, talked to Politico about why he is backing DeSantis because he sees him as the vehicle to move on from Trump and his brand of populism that has made the GOP less hospitable for soulless corporations that have sold America down the river.
“He did a lot of things really well and missed the mark on some important areas,” Griffin said. “And for a litany of reasons, I think it’s time to move on to the next generation.”
Griffin has given $5 million to DeSantis’ gubernatorial re-election campaign in Florida. He is hoping that by buying favor with DeSantis, he can convince him to run in 2024 in an attempt to end the Trump revolution.
“Would I support him? The bigger question is, is he going to run? That bridge has to be crossed,” he said.
“He has a tremendous record as governor of Florida, and our country would be well-served by him as president,” Griffin added.
It is clear Donald Trump is intending to run for president again in 2024 from the comments he has made.
“Everybody, I promise you, in the very next — very, very, very short period of time, you’re going to be happy,” Trump said. “But first we have to win a historic victory for Republicans on Nov. 8.”
In addition to the RINO megadonors, the notorious former House Majority Leader Paul Ryan is also on board for DeSantis in 2024.
NEW: The GOP 2024 nominee will be "someone other than Donald Trump," said former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan at a closed conference in New York Wednesday afternoon.
According to a recording of his talk, he named DeSantis, Youngkin, and Tim Scott as his three favorites.

Ryan added that the tough posturing against Disney by DeSantis was “really good for him, from a political perspective,” and that the American Conservative Union is going to be pressuring “woke corporations like Walmart” more and more in the years to come.
Why don’t you listen to DeSantis speech. Stopping shilling for a man who picked Globalits, left and right. You are tiresome.
My one question is who the Ghosts in the Machine want to run and win?
Move On? As in Move On .org?
Douche bags.
What’s next, Desantis proclaims “No more Malarky!”.
However, in this case their hubris will get the better of them and it will backfire spectacularly.
“DeSantis must exercise good judgment and refuse to allow Never Trumpers and other self-serving interests to use them as their pawn to undermine the America First movement. If he does run for presidency, he will split the base and hurt the cause immeasurably. DeSantis’ time may come, but Trump must avenge the stolen 2020 presidential election and have a valiant political comeback in 2024.”
That last paragraph has it all correct.
None of those work for DeoSanctimonious.
But things got a little awkward when, at one point, the president name-checked Illinois’ wealthiest resident. “Ken Griffin. Citadel. What a guy he is,” the president said, referring to the Chicago-based hedge fund billionaire Griffin, who founded Citadel and now serves as the company’s CEO.
“Trump continued: “Where are you, Ken? Where the hell is he? He’s trying to hide some of his money. Look he doesn’t want to stand up. Where the hell is Ken?” before finally adding, “He’s very quiet about it. He’s in here someplace, he just doesn’t want to stand.”
Asked whether Griffin was at the event — and how he feels about Trump’s “trying to hide some of his money” comment, Citadel spokeswoman Megan Ingersoll said only that Griffin didn’t attend the event.
Hmmm... months old polls, hypocritical whining about RINO donors. Good thing DeSantis wasn’t bought and paid for by German banks or ... or ... something...
Trump is not going to win. Come back to reality.
Some people have their entire self-identities tied to President Trump. That means if Trump loses, they lose. In their minds that must be avoided, at all costs.
Some Democrats demonstrated the same thing with Obama in 2008.
Why post this article if you think Trump is unbeatable? Why worry about the Florida Governor if he is so far behind? Because he is not and solid conservative Republicans are rallying to his potential candidacy as each day goes by.
Or, we could stick with “Pro-Lifers cost us the election” Trump....
I’ve been warning about DeSantis running since November 8 when I heard it from one of the ‘horses’ mouth at a Florida precinct
We had just elected him for a second term….( which I supported) but a local rep for the Republican Party stopped by and assured us DeSantis IS running 2024….( which I oppose)
DeSantis hadn’t even given his Thanks Y’ALL speech for re-electing him…
….the ‘rep’ didn’t have any loyalty to Trump
…the’rep’ didn’t care how divisive this could become
We were being informed to push DeSantis all the way!
fwiw, I let him and the others know how I felt
“Globalist RINO Megadonors...”
A headline that to me sounds somewhat, shall we say, biased?
Trump or nothing. Accept no subtitutes. RINO Managed Decline™ is not something I will vote for again. My gut instinct is Desantis is a fake.
If the progs crash the whole economy and we all have to suffer so be it. I guess the USA will hit bottom and hopefully the union will be divided into free and communist sections.
Good luck with that, Bubba.
Ron is a Bushite Deep State whore, I’ll bet even Karl Rove likes him
