It’s all about power and position...and the American public is last yet again. We’ll see the winner on tv tonight getting applauded and that will be that.
It won’t change until we stop re-electing the fossils in Congress. And that goes for both partys. And you know they will never vote for term limits...why should they.
Surprise Surprise Surprise ….. there are a few Conservatives in amongst the congresscritters
McCarthy already has lost 8 Republican votes in the 2nd round vote and they’re only about a third through the roll call.
What a mess. The Dems and liberal media are loving this. You would have thought the Republicans would have gotten together and ironed all of this out before today. Just a mess.
We can’t reward Benedict Arnold’s of our party! I don’t care how many votes it takes. This guy does not deserve to be House Speaker! My choice would be Jim Jordan.
For the first time in my life, I’m represented by someone who believes as I do. Thanks to redistricting, Andy Harris is now my representative. As his first action, he voted against McCarthy.
G-d forbid they get Hakim Jeffries. That would throw away the precious but slim Republican lead in the House and Jeffries is a highly bigoted, race baiting, corrupt commie.
Trump is going to be pissed. This is a rebuke of him. This is a message from some Republicans to him.
Anybody but McCarthy. Hold strong true Republicans.
Whoever it is, FBI played a major role in this no matter what. The question is if they were successful or not. Ghosts in the Machine is correct.
It’s as if people forgot all about Paul Ryan just a few years ago.
A few democrats will eventually cross the aisle and vote for him, if only to get the gravy train going again.
Then again, IMO, the entire government is criminal, so, in the words of her Heinousness "At this point, what difference does it make?"
However, the objections to McCarthy are understandable.
I pray it will be resolved with the right person chosen. 🙏

There is absolutely no difference between McCarthy and Jeffries. They will both promote and advance the very same Globalist agenda. So even if McCarthy wins, the Dems still control the narrative and agenda and the GOP controls nothing even though they are the majority. McCarthy will just hand the Dems what they want anyhow. Majority means absolutely nothing at this point without a more loyal house leader.
I think the best outcome is to not seat a speaker in this congress.
Honestly this isn’t nearly the drama the media wants you to believe it is... no, its not even historic.. yes been a while since multiple votes are needed, but unless you get to taking more than 133 votes to get a speaker, you aren’t in history making territory.
If McCarthy is worthy of the position he seeks then he should be able to get 15 more votes... if he can’t that speaks, frankly, to the fact he probably shouldn’t have the position.
