Russia issues list of demands it says must be met to lower tensions in Europe {flashback to 17 December 2021}

Russia has put forward a highly contentious list of security guarantees it says it wants the west to agree to in order to lower tensions in Europe and defuse the crisis over Ukraine, including many elements that have already been ruled out.

...The demands, spelled out by Moscow in full for the first time, were handed over to the US this week. They include a demand that Nato remove any troops or weapons deployed to countries that entered the alliance after 1997, which would include much of eastern Europe, including Poland, the former Soviet countries of Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, and the Balkan countries.

Russia has also demanded that Nato rule out further expansion, including the accession of Ukraine into the alliance, and that it does not hold drills without previous agreement from Russia in Ukraine, eastern Europe, in Caucasus countries such as Georgia or in Central Asia.

Those proposals are likely to be viewed extremely negatively by Nato countries, in particular Poland and the Baltic states. They have warned that Russia is attempting to re-establish a sphere of influence in the region and view the document as proof Moscow is seeking to limit their sovereignty.

Putin thought NATO was moribund. He was right, but he didn't realise that his invasion of Ukraine would not only reinvigorate NATO but make it much, much stronger.

Now we KNOW that Russia invades non NATO neighbours

Putin should remove Russian troops out of any land not part of the Grand Duchy of Moscow in 1533.

Yes! Let the Biden globalists replace him with a puppet like zelensky. Going green requires the globalists to control Russian natural resources.
Can’t wait to see who they replace him with. Maybe a dance partner for Zel.
Of course us taxpayers will send money to those puppets too.
It’s gonna be a great world, free of nationalists.
Putin is an evil man, so the media tells me…. But Biden starting another pipeline war, just like Obama’s Syria was all a great big scam.
If you think they care more about the lives of their citizens than Putin, I would like to know why.
Putin and Xi have been the sole holdouts, thus bidens bromance with Xi.
Total, absolute control and nothing else will do.

Putin invades countries that he perceives as militarily ‘weak’. In the Ukraine case, he wanted the FSB (KGB) to agree with his logic that they were easily defeated, and no one really argued with him.

One odd fact at this point. If you tally up the losses of helicopters, fighters, artillery, APC’s, fuel tankers, and tanks...with the current GDP situation, it’ll take 20-odd years to restore them to the 2021 level of capability. Add to it...the Oligarch crowd taking their 25-percent ‘cut’ of the military fund.

Yeah, right?

Boy, for a guy whose army is getting it’s butt kicked royal he sure doesn’t seem to be in a position to be demanding anything.

The interesting thing is that Putin wrecked the whole “green” agenda, in Europe anyway. Putin was actually a partner of the Euro greens, as the plan was to replace domestic energy sources in Europe with a mix of “green” and Russian natural gas - hence Nordstream/Nordstream II, which were the particular pet projects of the German SDP.

But now, well, nukes and gas are back, baby.

Once the Neocons took control of Western governments, it didn’t matter what Putin demanded, he was going to be ignored anyway. If the Neocons wanted to station troops and missiles 20 miles outside of Moscow, they would have done it despite any Russian objections.

As far as this new ‘super-powerful NATO’ is concerned, I’m still trying to figure out how it got so strong, given its levels of military spending, its Drag Queen shows, and some of the pretty faces running it. But we’ll see - Drag Queens can be pretty damn vicious (almost as vicious as the Azovs), so maybe I missed out on that part of their strategy.

I think Putin has stopped dreaming of victory. Now he’s just looking for a way out, any way out, to keep his head attached to his shoulders

Putin is the rapist who takes slaves who comes to Bobl house and occupies the front porch. Bobl protests but gets ignored.

Bobl then hopes that this ends things but is still arming himself as he doesn’t trust Putin. He also looks for help from others.

Putin then, 8 years later, breaks into Bobl house, rapes his daughter and threatens to make Bobl and his wife and other kids into slaves.

Bobl fight9back and restricts Putin the rapist/burglar to the front room.

Putin now demands negotiations and has a list of demands.

Does Bobl give in to these demands? Or does Bobl fight to push the ralist/burglar Putin out of his house, front porch and entire property?

The Neocons are the ones who claim that Putin is an aggressor and then PROMPTLY give him half a dozen reasons to take action in Ukraine.

...and then the Neocons find that other than their puppet governments in the West (15% of the world’s population), no one is imposing ‘sanctions’, meaning they don’t buy the line that Putin is some kind of monster.

With most of the world supporting him, the only question now is how far Putin has to go to stop the Neocons, and that is something he doesn’t control.

True, and America has 300 years of coal to burn to make electricity. Just put the most advanced scrubbers on the plants. This is not a big deal.

Putin invades Ukraine and according to you its only "Neocons" who believe he's an aggressor. So what is he a savior?

With most of the world supporting him,

That's a lie. If they were supporting Putin's war they would be sending weapons to Russia. So far, its North Korea and Iran that are sending weapons.

Silly me, I thought this was a discussion about Putin & Russia, then in the last sentence, I see you are talking about the United States.
