They will destroy a good trout stream in a blink.
There are some who run to the beaver ponds on trout streams since the brookies get big. But after a couple years, there aint any more fish. The ponds cover up the prime spawning sites with silt.

For Michigan FReepers who travel freeways and say they get off on Big Beaver:
Why is it called Big Beaver Road?
The name Big Beaver can be traced back to ... Thanks, I've never taken the time to look into that. IIRC, there once was a Hooter's located at that exit, but I never got around to going there, either.
I was always too busy while driving through there, trying to get my wife to Climax.
Sorry, I guess I'll be going to
Hell for mentioning this.

With all the jokes flying around soon they will have to start calling that animal “Castor canadensis”.

Don’t you claim to know what a beaver is. You’re not a biologist! The SCOTUS is not going to grant you certiorari.

I’m not here to advocate for beaver dams.
I still can’t help but find a glimmer of humor in here though,
when the Leftist woke folks find out that even mother nature
disagrees with their goals of no river dams.
Oh the huge manatees.

Beavers are all fun and games until your basement gets flooded from their dams.

Back in the late 60s, the I-69 and exit 69 signs were major theft targets. I know at one point MDOT welded some of them on.
(don’t ask how I know this)
