A 25-year-old man has been arrested in Pennsylvania in connection with the stabbing deaths of four University of Idaho students whose bodies were found in a rental home near campus last month, multiple law enforcement sources with direct knowledge of the investigation said Friday.
It marks the first major break in a case that has both captivated and mystified the globe.
The sources said the man was apprehended in the Scranton area Friday morning. Authorities are expected to hold a news conference on the case later Friday.
Few details have been released publicly in the gruesome Nov. 13 slayings of 21-year-olds Madison Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves, and 20-year-olds Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin. The four friends, members of the university’s Greek system, were discovered across the street from campus, leaving the small town of Moscow, Idaho, deeply shaken. Relatively few details have been released about the homicides, intensifying the mystery.
The Moscow Police Department has said it was working through nearly 12,000 tips in an effort to solve the case.
Under “Incel” in the dictionary is this guy’s picture.
Looks like he just lost the slope in his forehead 2 generations ago.
Bryan Kohberger, Idaho Murders Suspect: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know
Naw, the suspect probably talked and someone turned him in. Or he was on their suspect high on their list from the beginning and was likely connected in one way or another to one of the victims. Just my hunch...
They talk funny. Idaho version of Valley Girl accent.
“According to the WSU website, Kohberger is pursusing his Ph.D in criminal justice and criminology.”
He’s definitely going to get a Masterclass in it now.
Arrest paperwork filed in Monroe County Court said Bryan Christopher Kohberger, 28, was being held for extradition to Idaho where he faces a first degree murder charge.
Bryn Christopher Kohberge, age 28.
Bryan not Bryn
Idaho has the death penalty.
Agreed. It’ll turn out one of the girls dissed him or refused his advances or called him “gay” or something and he flipped out. Didn’t he give a couple of the girls a ride home after a night out drinking? He’s a Penn. native; that’s why he was caught there. He was doing grad study in criminology just over the border in Washington.
hard to make airline reservations during the holidays?
I have the bubble-head on, using your link - thanks.
He is actually giving a lot of information, because he is too inexperienced to hold anything back and he is echoing all the MSM feeds.
is this picture the suspect?
how long had the fibbers been monitoring his activities?
Clever sumbitch, I was afraid he would get away.
= = =
He would have disappeared from his grad program. Would that raise any suspicions.
Unless he said, “I am scared and leaving the campus like all the Idaho students.”
I think the Iphone map from Moscow, Idaho to Scranton, Pa is what cracked this case wide open.
Four dead in Idaho ...
“They probably checked GPS records of cell phones that went to the house between 3 and 4 for less than an hour. Deep deep gumshoe stuff.”
If that was the case, then why seven weeks to make an arrest? My guess is that the white Hyundai is the key.
I guess he flunked.
Well I’m waiting to hear the evidence, I don’t trust anything the FBI says or is involved in. A Ph.D. student of Criminal Justice and Criminology in another state decides to just drive to another state and randomly stab to death 4 college students in the middle of the night. Yeah, makes total sense. Let me guess: Soon it will come out he’s a Trump supporter as well, right? Soon the photos will come out of him wearing the MAGA hat
