These two Universities are just a short drive apart, about 10 miles, on a straight, well paved (and patrolled) highway.

Lots of bars, and the students visit ‘next door’ a lot.

I don’t think it was a random drive. But how much and how long was the planning?

Both the U of I and WSU are very close to the ID-WA border: within a few miles. So, the 2 universities are quite close to each other.
