List of Biden Tax Hikes Hitting Americans on Jan. 1
Americans for Tax Reform ^ | December 29,2022 | Palicz

$6.5 Billion Natural Gas Tax Which Will Increase Household Energy Bills

Think your household energy bills are high now? Just wait until the three major energy taxes in the Inflation Reduction Act hit your wallet. The first is a regressive tax on American oil and gas development. The tax will drive up the cost of household energy bills. The Congressional Budget Office estimates the natural gas tax will increase taxes by $6.5 billion.

$12 Billion Crude Oil Tax Which Will Increase Household Costs

Democrats are imposing a 16.4 cents-per-barrel tax on crude oil and imported petroleum products that will be passed on to consumers in the form of higher gas prices.

$1.2 Billion Coal Tax Which Will Increase Household Energy Bills

The tax hike more than doubles the current excise taxes on coal production. Under the Democrat proposal, the tax rate on coal from subsurface mining would increase from $0.50 per ton to $1.10 per ton while the tax rate on coal from surface mining would increase from $0.25 per ton to $0.55 per ton

$74 Billion Stock Tax Which Will Hit Your Nest Egg — 401(k)s, IRAs and Pension Plans

When Americans choose to sell shares of stock back to a company, Democrats will impose a new federal excise tax which will reduce the value of household nest eggs. Raising taxes and restricting stock buybacks harms the retirement savings of any individual with a 401(k), IRA or pension plan.

$225 Billion Corporate Income Tax Hike Which Will Be Passed on to Households

Democrats imposed a 15 percent corporate alternative minimum tax on the financial statement income of American businesses reporting $1 billion in profits for the past three years. These American companies employ millions of Americans.

The cost of this tax increase will be borne by working families in the form of higher prices, fewer jobs, and lower wages.

One thing that keeps a lot of people from paying much attention to these new taxes on business is the fact that a number of very large companies are well known for paying $0000 in income taxes. I remember when Buffet told the world that he paid a lower percent in income taxes than his secretary. He said this was wrong, and I and I am sure many Americans agree with him.

After what we've witnessed with stolen elections (i.e. 2020, 2022, Kari Lake Arizona)-The biggest problem, IMO, is criminals in BOTH parties, ignoring the Constitution, facing NO consequences, and them working against the American people.

Can’t let this go without correction:

“by repealing the 16th (direct taxes)”

It is said that “ignorance of the law is no excuse”. There is at least ONE that “they” would rather you forever remain ignorant: https://losthorizons.com/The16th.htm

Washington State gas tax is 43 cents now, and going up ANOTHER 46 cents iirc Jan. 1. (I might be off by a penny or two.)

Edit to my post. WA state gas tax is at 49 cents a gallon now. It is not clear what it might rise to as it is not a tax on the gasoline, but a carbon tax on the producer (Mobil, Exxon, Etc.) which they of course will pass onto the consumer.

Some watchdog group calculated it at 46 cents a gallon. But the state said something like that is a simplified calculation and there are many factors that will go into the tax and how companies may respond and reduce their taxes and it is all very complicated but they are pretty confident that it won’t be an additional 46 cents at the gas pump because they are experts.

He pays a larger amount than his secretary, because he makes more money, but does so from capitol gains on large transactions, thus paying a lower rate, but a larger amount. Warren Buffet is talking out his a@@.

Of course he pays a larger AMOUNT than his secretary, as do many very rich people compared with their employees.

However, as I said: “Buffet told the world that he paid a LOWER PERCENT in income taxes than his secretary. He said this was wrong, and I and I am sure many Americans agree with him.” So what is the point of your misrepresentation of what I said originally which is factual, and insulting Buffet who was also telling the truth?

Buffet’s a big boy. He can stick up for himself. I pay a lower percent in income taxes than his secretary, too, because I don’t pay any, because I have too little income to be liable under either Israeli or American law. But it’s mis-leading to say that there are corporations who pay zero income tax, and offer Buffet, an individual, as an example. If he wants to pay a higher percentage, he’s free to do so. But I’d venture that he was just virtue signaling by telling half the truth. He’s paying a lower percentage because capital gains are at a lower percentage. When he sells a huge block of stock, he pays millions in capital gains tax and zero income tax. If you insist on taking offense on behalf of Buffet, you’re on a fool’s errand. He already has a lawyer and a publicist.

Hate all democrat voters, folks. They are to blame.

I used to mockingly joke to Dems I talked to that as there are designated drivers, I want to appoint designated taxpayers to take my place.

I do not support increased taxes, high cost government entitlements and inflationary spending, so since the Dems vote for the politicians that do, they should pay my taxes for me.

Oddly enough it will hurt us more than them. Correct me if I’m wrong but most Dem voters fall in 2 groups:

1. Over educated and indoctrinated yuppies, Libs who have government jobs, academia etc. Their pay is high enough it won’t bother them.
2. Low class many of which are on the government dole. So they aren’t really earning the money anyway through work..or at least much of it.

It will be the working poor and LOWER MIDDLE CLASS which will feel the burn and I think a majority vote Republican.

I don’t understand your need to run me down as a Free Creature for making true statements about non tax payment by some large corporations, and Buffets comment on our tax system. I’m sure a number of these corporations which are paying no tax, are NOT making up for it by selling stock and paying Capital Gains tax. It almost sounds as if you have a need to defend large corporations which are well defended by their lawers and CFOs.
