Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) on Wednesday revealed he has been diagnosed with “a serious but curable form of cancer.”
Raskin said in a statement he was diagnosed with a common type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma that affects white blood cells in the body’s immune system.
The 60-year-old lawmaker said he was beginning chemo-immunotherapy at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
“I expect to be able to work through this period but have been cautioned by my doctors to reduce unnecessary exposure to avoid COVID-19, the flu and other viruses,” he said.
Raskin said he was specifically diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, which usually develops in the lymph nodes deep inside the body. While fast-growing and aggressive, the cancer is treatable.

Ps. I died for a few minutes from cardiac arrest, just had my third surgery for skin cancer, and survived pancreatic cancer, end of Stage 1. I’m still kicking because I want to protect my country and family. Been doing it for nearly 60 years. I’m sure Raskin wouldn’t give a Damn about me, just as his father didn’t.

Me either. As much as I despise the evil dirty rat I wish him the best. Only because My sister died of colon cancer and it was a horrible death. Instead of saying I hope he gets cured I’m going to say I hope he is saved. Because there is a heaven and a hell…eternity is real. He will be judged by what he has done with the power God has granted him. Because not many are given the opportunity by God to govern over people. Where much is given much is required! He’s screwed! Jesus is the only way! Repent!
