Whoopi Goldberg has once again apologized for her comments claiming that the Holocaust was “not about race.”
A rep for the 67-year-old provided a statement to The Post on Tuesday, just days after a recent interview in which she reiterated the same Holocaust slur that got her suspended from “The View” last February.
“My best friend said, ‘Not for nothing is there no box on the census for the Jewish race. So that leads me to believe that we’re probably not a race,’” Goldberg had told the Sunday Times of London.

"We"? Was her mother Jewish, or did she convert to Judaism under the guidance of a rabbi? If not, then she can't call herself Jewish.
You are, of course, correct. I was speaking broadly, and was trying to make a more-general point.
At present, no one is compelled to mark such a box (identifying ethnicity) - nor can they be held accountable for checking the "wrong" box. However, I can well imagine that there will come a time...

Yes you are correct. Scientifically, there are 3 races Black Caucasian and Asian. Just 3.
There are German Jews, Russian Othodox Jews and so forth none are a race of people. So technically she is right. It is genocide, not racism. Sorta how hispanic is not a race and neither is American Indian. But the term race has been co-opted and bifurcated.
It’s funny how far education has sunk.
Public Law 94-521 passed in 1976 bars mandatory disclosure (census is mandatory) of religion. Given that the Carter administration dropped the question for 1980. It could be asked but checking the box would be voluntary.
The woman has had some great breaks, and normally I wouldn’t
think negative of that, but what she has done with those
