Buffalo has been plunged into chaos as brazen looters wreak havoc on storefronts amid a historic blizzard that dumped six feet of snow on the northern New York city.

It has become the deadliest storm to hit the western part of the state in 50 years, with at least 27 people reported dead as scores of others remain trapped in their houses and cars.

Roads in the city remain impassable under several feet of heavy snow, as first responders struggle to reach those who remain trapped days after the storm hit.

I was just saying that is the law in Texas for conversation’s sake. It has nothing to do with Buffalo.
Texas Penal Code Section 9.421 states a person can use deadly force to protect tangible, movable property from another’s imminent commission of theft during the nighttime or to prevent another who is fleeing immediately after committing theft during the nighttime and is escaping with property if the person reasonably believes the land or property cannot be protected or recovered by any other means; or that a use of force other than deadly force to recover the property would expose them to a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury.

That is what the law says. I did not write it. You can argue a material object is not worth a human life. That law could have been written in the 1800's. Maybe they thought robbers were more dangerous after dark because you could not see if they had a weapon. I do not know the why of it.

I feel bad for the businesses. They are shut down by weather for the busiest season and now their stores are looted and vandalized. The idiots believe “insurance” will cover all of this so nobody pays a price but that is an absolute lie. We cannot do much about it and maybe the residents there will have to get pi$$ed off enough to demand change and hold people accountable. If not, they will have to travel far to shop.

We used to take care of looters by giving them first a few canisters of Tear Gas.

If this does not work then we shoot over their heads and thru a loud speaker tell them we are firing at anybody that steals or loots.

If this does not work then we shoot at you indiscriminately.

We are getting too lax with the policing of our streets.
