The $1.7 trillion omnibus bill has passed congress, and it’s such a dumpster fire that it wasn’t even technically ready for the president’s signature.
No, I’m not kidding. Congress apparently passed a bill that wasn’t prepared to be signed. They then had to pass another continuing resolution to keep the government running in the meantime. If that’s not the perfect metaphor for how awful our federal government is, then one doesn’t exist.

As smart and foresighted as our forefathers were, they just couldn't envision how corrupt and evil our political class would become. Maybe they figured that we would've hung or shot a few of them before things got this bad. I don't know that our forefathers could have foreseen a professional political or bureaucratic unaccountable class. We are truly being screwed by the uni-party.

I blame it on the 17th amendment.
As corrupt as the state legislatures may have been during Reconstruction, giving up the power to replace Senators is what led to the current state of the power of incumbency in Senatorial elections.
We can't get rid of them now. They have become disconnected from the states they supposedly "represent."

I'll bet the feds would use the justice department to fight the states "tooth and nail" against any effort to correct the it....

What the Constitutionally-minded States need to do is prepare for the fiscal collapse of the Blue Empire so their places can be where people can live, accumulate assets, and earn income without being at the mercy of the Blue Imperial System. Those who depend on the Blue Empire for their survival - i.e. Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, etc - had better prepare themselves for its collapse. This will help ensure that there can be some stability in the lives of people as the collapse occurs.
The other side is already preparing for their way of doing things. Those who lose favor will have their social media accounts restricted, assets frozen and lose access to being able to use electronic money, get their cars recharged, and more. These Blue fanatics would love to have full power in America like Xi has in China or Putin has in Russia. Its vitally important to ensure there are places in America that can’t be derailed by the fiscal collapse of the Blue Empire.
I would hope that the Rule of Law could prevail. But these Blue thugs took those oaths to uphold the Constitution, they are massively violating our 9th/10th Amendment rights, and continue to take insurrection actions like this 1.7T Omnibus to cause the system to collapse.

They way out is term limits. And the current crop, or any in the last 100 years, will never do it.
BUT, Convention Of States can do it. And we are pushing hard. We’re not far off.
Look up the COS movement. No “permission” from anyone fed needed, including Congress.
States can do it on their own. And we will.
