The $1.7 trillion omnibus bill has passed congress, and it’s such a dumpster fire that it wasn’t even technically ready for the president’s signature.
No, I’m not kidding. Congress apparently passed a bill that wasn’t prepared to be signed. They then had to pass another continuing resolution to keep the government running in the meantime. If that’s not the perfect metaphor for how awful our federal government is, then one doesn’t exist.

Congress passing this $1.7 Trillion bill is like watching a Target Store being looted in Minneapolis.
Everyone is trying to grab as much as they can, and get out before the place burns down.
Not for nuthin' but our forefathers would have been shooting long bedore now.
No one knows that is in the 4,000 page bill because it’s nothing more than a giant list into which every special interest has inserted a clause to cover their grab for pork.
Sum Ting Wong (Stolections).
Our forefathers are rolling in their grave
It'll make sense eventually in 20/20 hindsight. Yet in real-time, Rand Paul called it an abomination.
4,155 pages. Who can read the writing? No one can can read the writing, because that's the simple meaning.
And another thing, the account of the abomination of desolation in the time of the Maccabees records that the Seleucid king desecrated the Temple by sacrificing a pig on the altar.
And the very essence of these omnibus abominations is all the pork they contain.
And here we are, at the time of Chanukah.
It's all in there, because the stage of world history *is* the Megillah.
It explains why it’s unbelievable, yet totally believable at the same time. If it weren't in the Megillah, who would believe it?
It's Chinese [סיני] take-out for dinner tonight!

NOT VOTERS
The looters are those who are gonna burn it down.
"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
“If the tax be not proposed for the common defence, or general welfare, but for other objects, wholly extraneous, (as for instance, for propagating Mahometanism among the Turks, or giving aids and subsidies to a foreign nation, to build palaces for its kings, or erect monuments to its heroes,) it would be wholly indefensible upon constitutional principles [emphases added].” — Justice Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution 2 (1833).
“Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, judges and governors, shall all become wolves [emphasis added]. It seems to be the law of our general nature.” - Thomas Jefferson (Letter to Edward Carrington January 16, 1787)
ALL the states desperately need to effectively "secede" from the unconstitutionally big federal government by repealing the 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments.
Even the red states are addicted to fedgov money. Ain’t gonna happen.
Patriots need to get state lawmakers who have probably never been taught about the federal government's constitutionally limited power to appropriate taxes up to speed with the following constitutional reality.
The so-called “federal” dollars that the states are always begging the federal government for are arguably state revenues that the feds stole from the states by means of unconstitutional federal taxes, taxes that Congress cannot reasonably justify under its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.
"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
Your post is brilliant, and accurate.
This is the nail in the coffin legislation.
“Everyone is trying to grab as much as they can, and get out before the place burns down”.
That’s it, exactly! And the looters are the same ones who are burning it down.
A Perfect Storm is coming.
Vote for RINOs because the worst RINO is a 1000 times better than the best Democrat, they said.
Spit.
Mitch McConnell and the Republican establishment own this legislation. They are as much the enemy as Democrats and the left.
