... I do try to embed clues to my sarcasm (such as why shouldn’t we support a guy who helps fund the Democrats by the millions and uses his twang to play the piano).

That's why I READ your posts, and the posts of most other FReepers, fully.

Merry Christmas to you and Free Republic, and many happy returns!

“I see at least a generation lost in forming any kind of rapprochement.”

I believe Russian children are brought up with the notion that the West is corrupt. Given leaders such as Biden, Clinton, Romney, Kerry, Pelosi, and Graham; it would be tough to dissuade them.

They also know how their Soviet government made those, pretty much, claims about the West, so they were not about to believe them.

Problem is now - the Western governments have PROVEN that their claims about us is, actually, true, and so we lose the possible support of another generation of Russians, if not two generations.

Somebody needs to pick a national capitol that has embassies from all nations concerned, rent a large venue, arrange a 24-7 catering service and put out a public standing invitation to all parties concerned.

Mr. Musk, are you listening?

So far, Iran has supplied 1,700 suicide drones to Russia for its war in Ukraine

Cathi, I wonder who writes this stuff?   Is it possible that anyone could make a suicide drone?   If there is no pilot, there is no suicide.   I'm just nitpicking I guess, but couldn't they just say drone instead of suicide drone.   As the old hillbilly said, "that don't make no sense."

This is not a Russia vs Ukraine war.

It is a US Deep State/Totalitarian Globalist Depopulationist Psychopath vs Sovereign Nation-State war.

We fomented a Ukraine revolution/coup in 2014, caused a civil war and sided with the neo-Nazis and Ukrainian nationalists that wanted to exterminate the ethnic Russian population.

We encouraged Ukraine to ignore the Minsk Agreement it signed that would have brought peace to the region.

We armed Ukraine with offensive weapons, teased NATO membership for Ukraine and opened biological weapons labs there.

Then we built the Ukrainian army into the largest army in the NATO zone besides us, and massed it for deployment in the area of the Donbass in obvious preparation for an attack.

And finally, when Russia responded to all that, we claimed they invaded Ukraine for no good reason to annex territory.

This is not a Russia vs Ukraine war.

LOL, because Russia didn't invade Ukraine. Oh sorry, in your words "Russia responded to all that". Its an amazing level of dishonesty when an invasion isn't called an invasion, but a 'response'.

“Zelensky is responsible for shelling his own people.”

Considering that he, or at least his military commander, won’t let civilians leave COMBAT ZONES, then yes, you are correct - they look at them more as human shields.

“Zelensky and Ukraine have no say over anything. They are just puppets for the west.”

Correct, our Brownshirts there (the Azovs) make sure that Zelensky stays in line,.

“If the Russians would just OVERTHROW him and put someone else in his position that better understands the West”

And maybe put in a direct link, so DC can issue orders as needed too!

You nailed it. “Z” wants no less than cleansing....despite the fact that the majority of the Ukrainian families have Russia blood in their genes.

It was sarcasm. If someone understood the west, they would go all out. I think that’s what he meant.

You just keep spouting lies nonstop.

Ukraine begins evacuating civilians from liberated areas for the winter

Ukrainian authorities have started evacuating civilians from the recently liberated areas of the Kherson region and the neighboring province of Mykolaiv, fearing that a lack of heat, power and water due to Russian shelling will make living conditions too difficult this winter. The World Health Organization concurred, warning that millions face a “life-threatening” winter in Ukraine.

Authorities urged residents of the two southern regions, which Russian forces have been shelling for months, to move to safer areas in the central and western parts of the country. Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk said Monday that the government will provide transportation, accommodations and medical care for them, with priority for women with children, the sick and elderly.

Putin prefers negotiations with the dumbest leader in the West and the easiest to bribe.
Sheesh, who could that be?
