The FBI may have violated the First Amendment rights of Twitter users when it flagged accounts for the social media platform to review, several legal experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
Twitter became an “agent of the government” when it worked with the FBI to silence specific accounts at the agency’s request, Hans von Spakovsky, manager of the Heritage Foundation’s Election Law Reform Initiative and a senior legal fellow, told the DCNF.
Ari Cohn, free speech counsel at TechFreedom, told the DCNF that while the findings of the Twitter Files were “interesting,” he doesn’t believe there are “many legal conclusions to draw from it.”

The FBI has repeatedly flagged Twitter accounts for the social media platform to review and censor over the last few years, raising questions as to whether the agency violated the First Amendment rights of Twitter users, legal experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
The Twitter Files, a series of revelations by several journalists based on internal Twitter communications, revealed that FBI agents colluded with Twitter executives to censor users and suppress information, while the agency paid Twitter $3.5 million to compensate them for their time processing the FBI’s requests. This partnership raises questions as to whether the FBI may have violated user’s constitutional rights, legal experts told the DCNF, with some arguing the agency’s involvement in Twitter censorship constitutes a First Amendment violation. Aaron Terr, director of public advocacy at the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE), told the DCNF that users deserve to know the extent of how the government communicated with Twitter and that it could raise possible “First Amendment issues, although it could be tricky to prove.”

America’s KGB
YBYSA they did.
In the worst way possible
FBI’s new motto...”KGB done right!”
Did Twitter really work with the FBI to silence specific accounts at the agency’s request?
The federal government violates the Constitution by 80%+.
Who the freak cares?
In spite of Obama's 2014 EO # 13691 telling social media they must cooperate with gov't agencies.
Remember when in a single day someone’s social media account would be targeted for not being “correct” and then banned accross multiple social media platforms? like General Flynn’s account (and his banking account too). I’d like to see those communications between the tech tyrants and the FBI/DOJ/deep state. I bet you the gov’t was behind it to discredit and punish him.
Do bears poo poo in the woods ???
Even if people did care, nothing would be done about it.
The Deep State and Democrat party are in fundamental violation of the US Constitution. We need a SCOTUS willing to hear these charges and bring these enemies to justice.
We also need a military with a primary commitment to protecting the Constitution.
There is a role for both to work together to purge criminals and seditious subversives.
And, what is the penalty for the FBI violating the Constitution? Oh, it is nothing, no penalty at all! So why would the FBI be concerned with violating the Constitution in any and all ways? Not concerned at all.
Yes. Fu#$ery at its lowest form.
The First Amendment part of the FBI/CIA/who knows who else takeover of social media is the least important part of the story.
The final breakaway of the Fourth Branch, the Administrative State, from governance by ANY of the three branches established by the Constitution is the important story.
You can appeal to the Constitution all you like, but the Constitution is irrelevant now because the real government, the ACTUAL government, is operating in complete independence from it.
Obama’s FBI doesn’t recognize Amendments
I’m surprised at you for this: “The Deep State and Democrat party are in fundamental violation of the US Constitution”, because you left out the absolutely critical role the Republican Party plays in the scenario you describe.
