An ABC producer used her credentials to create fake hit pieces on local politicians in Florida while pocketing thousands from a political lobbying firm, a report said.
Freelance producer Kristen Hentschel — who mostly worked for “Good Morning America” — was paid at least $14,350 by Alabama-based political consulting firm Matrix LLC to sandbag the environmentally friendly politicians with bogus questions, according to a report released Wednesday by NPR and Floodlight, an “environmental news collaborative.”
Hentschel claimed to be working for ABC while filming the hit piece. The company said she had not been assigned to the story. “Kristen Hentschel was a freelance daily hire who never worked for ABC News on the political stories referenced in the NPR article,” the network said in a statement.

Yes. America has a serious corruption problem with our institutions. The media is an “institution” that influences all other parts of our society.
It has been corrupted by politics, money, and our deep state (to include our intelligence agencies). Journalists, doctors, hospitals, schools, the courts, law enforcement, and the list continues are full of people who had some idealistic motive for choosing that occupation. Like the proverbial frog in the pot of warm water brought to boiling they don’t see how perverted (non-sexual) their industry has become.
As one example, do you think many doctors today who pushed (and continue to do so) the vaccine on their patients recognize that they put the wishes of big pharma ahead of their Hippocratic oath? The data has NEVER supported children getting the vaccine and now there is abundant evidence of the risks for young people yet many still promote and push this.
There is a lot of cognitive dissonance if you look for it. I just watched a PBS-Frontline special on MBS (the Saudi leader) and his crackdowns on free speech, surveillance, and the death of the dissident journalist. The PBS journo’s and guests were decrying the twitter censorship and surveillance AND that people who spoke out against the regime were incarcerated without trials.
I went to the Youtube comments expecting to see people like me asking about the recent release of the twitter files and Jan 6th defendants who have been incarcerated for 2 years for a likely misdemeanor. Crickets. They don’t see it or they simply don’t care.
The RNC does this too. How many RINO’s pushing unfettered illegal immigration (while talking about amnesty which they have never done by the way) are getting money from the Chamber of Commerce, Tyson Chicken, and the larger agricultural industry who use this labor?
I know you agree with my assessment, but just felt like I should point this out.
The “system” is corrupt and with the exception of outliers both are part of the same uniparty.
Journalism died when nobody would tell us who hired Craig Livingstone, Chief of Whitehouse Security under the Clinton administration.
This is extraordinarily rare! Normally, journalists are more than happy to smear conservatives for free.
