Has the wind died down there like it has here? We have a breeze but not a gale like we had overnight.
Kathy has the gale today. It’s wild up there. Snow blowing everywhere and some of the ice on the lake is uncovered. It takes stout wind to move that much hard snow!
And now I wait to hit ‘post’. Internet just went out and I hope it’s temporary.
Yes, the wind has died down and it’s all the way up to 24. The kitties are all fine. I fed all but Shadow, and I think he came when I wasn’t up yet.
I was just watching the Lake Hood cam, and you’re right. That wind made me even colder than I already was. LOL!
I notice that your temp is waaaaay lower than ours. Glad you can stay in. Hope the internet behaves itself and hope there are no issues with the wells.
Your 24 sounds mighty nice to me right now. LOL They say we’ll be there tomorrow and I hope they’re right. We never broke 10 here today but it wasn’t all that bad when I went out to check the pump houses. Not much wind. All’s well now and I’ll check them one more time later tonight.
Wasn’t that wind at Anchorage wild?? Watching some of the cargo jets land made my stomach churn a little. They aren’t supposed to rock like that. I imagine there was a lot of pucker-factor going on in cockpits.
So far, just that one short ‘net interruption. I hope it doesn’t start acting up again because it’s so aggravating.
Sitting at -2° here in my WV holler. We didn’t get much snow, just enough to cover the icy patches on the roads. They say the temp should start heading up around 9 tonight and may hit double digits by 2PM tomorrow. Wind is starting to die off a bit too now.
I’ve been looking for this song for a while and finally found a copy with good audio. It’s a cover of the Robert Earl Keen song, “Merry Christmas From The Family” but like I said, with the audio on this version you can understand all the words.

So happy for you that you got your car in the garage, finally!
Hope all your excursions to the pump houses have been successful without any complications.
All evening the motion lights on the deck kept coming on. I hate the wind. And this is the first time the blowing snow has made such a mess in the driveway. I don’t expect the plow guy to come because it didn’t snow. I have a good patch of snow pretty much cleared right in front of the garage door so I can get a running start backing out tomorrow when I go to the office. I should be ok.
Oooooh….Ms B is NOT gonna be happy about you shoveling again!

The wind had died down like yours.
It’ll be sunny today but not much warmer.
I hope everyone, everywhere survives this crazy freeze.
Our thermometer outside reads 9 too.
I just got in from making one last check on one well house. Had to make an adjustment earlier and wanted to be sure the temp is in a good place and it is. NOW I can go to sleep and not fret.
Our weather is going to be pretty much the same today from the sound of it. Too bad the sunshine doesn’t do much as far as warmth. It was sunny yesterday and only got up to 12. Today is supposed to get up to around 25 so we’re starting to move in the right direction.
