"Several studies have found that mask mandates can be effective, including an analysis showing that counties without school mask requirements had higher pediatric covid rates after the start of the 2021 school year than those who did."
And a lot of studies have found masking to be pure BS.
The WaPo pushing the magic mask again. Please explain how a mask stops a microscopic virus that is 100 times smaller than the mask filters?
Why are all these Foreign Commie Propagandists employed by the Bezos Commie Newsletter .
If you places have gone back to mandates. Oakland, California mandated them in city buildings and I believe a few school districts such as Philadelphia in Trenton have mandated them in schools.

Kids should mask up as studies prove that continuous mild hypoxia is beneficial to development
ANSWER: Because America's government and corporate leaders have finally figured out that peddling Branch Covidian fear to gullible people has a serious downside -- namely, that spreading this nonsense gives people who want to work from home an excuse never to come back to an office.
I’m currently waiting on Big Gretch (her words, not mine) to decree masks and lockdowns early next month.
Washington Post owned by Amazon.
Remember every scare story, every lockdown, self-isolation, or even worry or concern puts money in Bezos pocket.
The more people are scared, the more money Amazon makes.
“counting on Americans to voluntarily don [masks]”
We went to a wonderful “Traditions of Christmas” show last night. Out of the maybe 500 people in the theater, we didn’t see a single mask. Not one.
People are breathing free again and that isn’t going to change.
In a well run hospital, the ICU beds are always nearly full. Otherwise, you have expensive specialized nurses, physicians, and staff sitting on their hands not generating revenue, and expensive equipment being unused.
But hey. Nearly every adult ICU bed in Oregon is occupied, so that is more hysteria and fear mongering from the media.
I never considered that scaring people into staying at home means more Amazon purchases and more brick and mortar competitors out of business.
Though that seems wholly apparent to me now.
But, they would never resort to those kinds of things. Would they? (said rhetorically with sarcasm)
Exactly. When I read the line “Nearly every adult ICU bed in Oregon is occupied,” my first thought was that it sounds like a case of capacity being well matched to need.
Oregon was one of the most heavily vaxed states in the union and fired more doctors and nurses than any other state.

And HHS is flooding the airwaves pushing free boosters for everyone for Christmas. They will not stop the bio-engineering.
Because our ‘gubmit’ now has the respect that one gives a slime mold, and no sentient being will obey a mask mandate. And, woe to any Obamahole that would issue and try to enforce it.
Bring it, slime, bring it.
“
Oregon was one of the most heavily vaxed states in the union and fired more doctors and nurses than any other state.”
And remember that mental disease far exceeds physical diseases in that sinking blue state.
That’s part of it.
The don’t want to blame the president this go around.
So they will ignore it completely unless forced to.
Some of the mandates for wearing masks were ridiculous:
- my gym required a mask to enter the gym but not while working out. After checking in at the front desk, you could remove the mask.
- one of my local bars didn’t require a mask while seated at the bar but required a mask while standing at the bar.
- or there was a restaurant that required a mask while ‘interacting’ with the waitstaff. IOW, you had to wear a mask until you were seated. You had to replace the mask when the waiter brought your drinks, then you could remove the mask until the waiter brought the menu. You could then remove your mask until the waiter returned to get your order. Etc., Etc.
- But there were times when the masks could be great fun. I remember when walmart had one way ailses. The look on some faces when they encountered a person going the wrong way without a mask.
