Russia’s government spokesmen and diplomats responded scathingly to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s brief visit to Washington, DC, on Wednesday, mocking it as a “Hollywood-style trip” and claiming it confirmed America’s resolve to engage in a “proxy war” with Moscow.
Zelensky arrived in D.C. as lawmakers mull over an end-of-year omnibus spending bill that would grant his government $45 billion in humanitarian and weapons aid, potentially bringing the total American taxpayers’ dollars spent on Ukraine this year to upwards of $110 billion. While some Republicans have questioned the wisdom of such an expense, Zelensky was greeted warmly in Congress on Wednesday evening, receiving bipartisan applause.

Zelensky wasn’t here for peace. He was here to up the ante on the blackmail payments that he is extorting from Joe Biden. His performance in front of Congress was a message to Biden.
“I’m more popular in your own country than you are. So make sure the payments arrive on time. And don’t forget the vig.”
Zelensky knows exactly what Hunter wasn’t doing for the millions he was paid by Burisma. He has read every word of the Ukrainian prosecutor’s reports and knows for a fact that Joe participated in the scheme. Zelenky has Biden over the barrel and it is us, the US taxpayers, who will be picking up the tab for the Biden Crime Family’s sins.
Sure, yesterday was the clown show. But you can bet that the conversation that Zelensky had with Biden before the cameras started clicking was unequivocal; “Pay me now and keep paying until I say stop”.
And all it cost Zelensky was the momentary embarrassment of having to kiss Nancy Pelosi.
Putin is right.
I am sure if Putin requests it, he would be welcome to come to the United States and speak about how mean, nasty and unwelcoming the Ukrainians have been to his Russian troops who have been sauntering around Ukraine.
Shouldn't that be a proxy "special military operation" since Russia claims this isn't a war?
