I remember in 1990-ish a young girl giving testimony about kids being killed in Kuwait by Saddam’s forces. It was the tear jerking stories used to justify the war in Kuwait.

When Mr. Z started talking about atrocities it felt like the same thing. Something is very wrong here. Both parties are more than willing to send endless taxpayer money to this country. It isn’t our war. Ukraine is known to be thoroughly corrupt. What on earth are we doing here? Most likely laundering money. There’s no way it is all being accounted for, which should be a minimum demand.

Zelensky has NEVER demanded regime change in Russia.
He only want Russian troops to go home, back to Russian territory - and that way put an end to the invasion of ukraine.

You are correct in this assessment and most likely will get flamed for it. Putin is a reactionary that leads a coalition of parties that have kept the communists out of power for now over 30 years. He supports the Orthodox church and is behind the cultural revivals in Russia of Russian literature and music. Almost no one, even so-called ‘experts’ have any clue of the realities of modern Russia. They spout nonsense that is intended to get themselves noticed but the realities of Russia and Putin are clouded behind a screen of political posturing.
This is not an endorsement of Putin or his governance style, I’m just sick of such gross ignorance on display and people being led to holocaustal conclusions on flimsy opinions.

How so? If Russia loses, it will be because Ukraine was supported by a US-led western world that hung tough, and stood strong against aggression. That will send an enormous signal to other countries in the Pacific in terms of resistance to China.
How does that make China stronger? I see it as the opposite.
