Hooray, no photo ID.So now I can rent a UHaul, withdraw cash at a bank teller’s counter, get new prescriptions at a pharmacy and get something done at a doctor’s office and a hospital on my say so without photo ID?
Plus just tell the traffic officer I don’t have to show my license with photo. Make a guess who I am.
The NC judiciary is an ass.
The FIX is in.
It’s not absurd. It is racially divisive and immoral.
To give special privileges to only one race is not right. People like Goodman (white and Jewish), Schwerner(white and Jewish) and Chaney (black man) were killed by KKK members as the three volunteered to work in the civil rights movement June 21, 1964 to get voting rights for people of another race. Viola Liuzzo was a (white) civil rights activist who was murdered by the Ku Klux Klan as she drove another activist from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, during the Selma Voting Rights March. Many other white and Asian people sacrificed for black rights.
After all that, to now allow special voting rights only to one race as they vote more than one time without photo ID is enraging to decent people.
All American citizens not in prison and who meet the legal requirements for age and residence should vote one time after showing photo ID. Anything else in not justice.
Perhaps before the state house makes this move....I’d write up a law that requires all members of the state supreme court to have a state ID. Failure to have one, would result in suspension of judge authority until they can rectify the situation or retire.
The curious factor here....if you went out among 10,000 citizens of the state...the only people without an ID of any type would be homeless folks or mental facility people.
You do indeed, need to present a photo ID to even enter the NC supreme court chambers.
Can it be appealed to SCOTUS?

Hell, even most (if not all) homeless folks (even mental patients) have an ID of some form or other.
Even if they don’t have a drivers license they have at least a state ID card or old student ID, otherwise how would they get liquor and smokes.
A SOCIAL SECURITY CARD is damn near MANDATORY since your date of BIRTH!
My brother in law was born with cerebral palsy (never held a job, lived most of his adult life in a sheltered home) and had a SS Card his entire life, he was born in 1959 and died last year.
He ALWAYS HAD RECOGNIZED ID, so if he could do it (with some help) anybody can do it; unless all blacks rate down there somewhere around IMBICILE!
In that case perhaps they shouldn’t be voting at all!
The Democrats on the court need to be impeached for violating their oath to uphold the state constitution.
Their violation is clear.

My interest is the writers are sowing discord on both sides. Informed reporters know that there were two Republicans voted to the court to replace the two Dems that have their terms ending. A similar law will sail through. Why should such an article stay mooton these two points. Selling conflict.

CA Supremes and federal courts shot down the early 2000s CA constitutional amendment that recognized marriage as only between a man and woman.
Afterward of course, in 2015, Scotus soiled itself and the federal Constitution when it found, unbeknownst to the Framers of the 14th Amendment, that the 14th guaranteed the “right” to fag marriage.

My first thought as well. Can you imagine being told that a law can’t be legislated because YOU are too stupid to comply with it? How would you react? But black people just seem to accept this. I don’t understand it. This is the reality, though:
