North Carolina’s Supreme Court narrowly struck down the state’s photo voter identification law, ruling the policy “was motivated by a racially discriminatory purpose” — in a rushed decision handed down two weeks before Democrats lose their majority on the elected panel.
“The right to vote is a fundamental right, preservative of all other rights. If the right to vote is undermined, it renders illusory all ‘other rights, even the most basic,’” wrote Justice Anita Earls in Friday’s 4-3 party-line ruling.
“A law enacted with the intent to discriminate on the basis of race is unconstitutional even if no voter ultimately is disenfranchised,” Earls wrote.
The law requiring Tar Heel State voters to present a photo ID to cast a ballot was deemed unconstitutional in 2021 by a lower state court — even though voters had approved its addition to the state constitution by an 11-point margin.
“The outgoing lame duck liberal majority has, once again, defied the will of the voters,” railed NC House Speaker Tim Moore. “North Carolina voters have had enough of the disdain this court has for them and the rule of law.”

I was a member of a union for many years. Whenever there was a contract vote, I had to show ID at the door. PLUS someone working the door had to personally vouch for me.
No one ever called that racist. Odd, isn’t it?
Because minorities cannot get an ID to buy beer, tobacco, go to a concert, rent a car, drive a car, take a bus or plane, and so forth.
And obviously minorities do no know where the DMV or post office is, have social security numbers, cannot hold jobs or have bank accounts or any stuff like that there either.
I guess in the minds if these nitwits in robes minorities are trapped share cropping ... unless ... they too support voter fraud....

The judges are elected , if you had read the article, you would have known that.
This is for the sole purpose of the invaders taking part in our elections. For your information there is 40,000 illegals making their way to our border arriving sometime next week. According to our border mayor, they will be bussed to, get this, to major tx airports , and flown out from here to other cities. The fix is in folks! These people have already been given tickets and money for passage by the NGO. Must be nice to be coming from another country and thinking they’re going to bus you to an airport and then from there you get to go wherever. Can you believe this chit?!! Republicans, who hold a majority in both houses of the state legislature, vowed to pass another — perhaps even stricter — voter ID law in response to the court’s ruling.
So, North Carolina no longer requires ID to apply for ADC, government welfare for single moms?
It’s these RAT ‘judges” who are the racists. Is it racist to have to show an I.D. to cash a check? Is it “racist” to have to show an I.D. to get a loan. These damn “judges” are the racists. How many of the bass turds are black? (democrat).
