Democrats are racing to release information about former President Donald Trump's taxes before Republicans take control of Congress early next year.
Politico reported Friday that the House Ways and Means Committee will meet privately Tuesday at 3 p.m. to review the tax documents and vote on whether all or a portion of Trump's tax returns will be publicly released.
After a lengthy legal battle, House Ways and Means Committee Chair Richard Neal got his hands on Trump's tax returns in November....
...They consist of Trump's personal returns and returns from eight business entities, Politico said.
Democrats believe they're on solid legal footing to release the returns if the committee takes a vote....

I read The Rise And Fall Of The Third Reich many years ago, and one point that still sticks in my head today is how the Nazi government used judges to declare everything they did as ‘legal’.
Anything morally objectionable or flat out illegal, just get a judge to say otherwise, and problem solved! It’s now legal!
I don’t see how this Trump Tax Return thing is any different. They got the judges of the Supreme Court to just say Trump has no constitutional rights. Do whatever you want to Trump, it’s legal because we say so.

You are missing the point. My elderly mother in law told me “Trump hasn’t paid taxes in 20 years”. That’s repeating media gaslighting about a real estate loss carry forward that was 100% legit.
They want to twist the truth for gullible people who don’t understand the tax code.
The Dems need to realize that this is a 2 Way St. I would think that Clinton and Obama would be against releasing trumps tax returns, not because they believe in fair play, but because they understand that they could have their private information released as well, and probably don’t want it to be released.

*BETTER* release, everything that is available on both Clinton and Obama. The Dems need to feel the pain of the crap they pull all the time so that maybe they will think twice about doing more stuff that is indecent, just because they can.
