Democrats are racing to release information about former President Donald Trump's taxes before Republicans take control of Congress early next year.

Politico reported Friday that the House Ways and Means Committee will meet privately Tuesday at 3 p.m. to review the tax documents and vote on whether all or a portion of Trump's tax returns will be publicly released.

After a lengthy legal battle, House Ways and Means Committee Chair Richard Neal got his hands on Trump's tax returns in November....

...They consist of Trump's personal returns and returns from eight business entities, Politico said.

Democrats believe they're on solid legal footing to release the returns if the committee takes a vote....

Monstrous.

The Roberts court will go down in history as one of the most partisan, political abominations dedicated to depriving people of their rights.

The President has no Fourth Amendment right to his tax information? A nakedly partisan committee of the Congress can simply take them and wave around his private business at will?

On J3 the House should subpoena the tax returns of Paul Pelosi and Jill Biden just to be fair.

But remember, they are establishing a precedent. When the GOP takes control of the House in 2.5 weeks, they can do the same for Liz Cheney, Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, you name it. I just hope they have the stones to do it.

I’m going to guess, the committee found zero malfeasance in the tax returns - a nothing burger. So Plan B is to release them to ‘the public’ to gin-up fabricated outrage over the amounts paid. I imagine the usual left wing ‘reporters’ will be drafting their articles over the weekend to go to print on cue.

Well, gee, who will be surprised when they vote to release all of Trump’s tax returns?

Who thinks that McCarthy will subpoena Chief Justice Roberts’ tax returns now that the precedent has been set to do so?

It makes me sick to hear what these Democrats are plotting. How would THEY like to have THEIR tax returns made public?

I believe Trump has a great case to ask the USSC to issue an emergency stay of any release. There is USSC precedence that obtaining private information with the intent to publicly release them so as to damage the “private citizen” and for no other reason. I believe the committee said that they wanted the tax files for legislative reasons and that they would not be made public.

What a bunch of hooey. Trump has a myriad
of tax attorneys and accountants. Him,
being a huge target for tax fraud
alligation, would not risk losing his
fortune and possible jail time.

When the Republicans take the house they need to subpoena Lez, Biden, Obozo and everyone else who have been part of this witch hunt.

Even if the committee got their hands on the tax returns, are these now public documents and can they legally, morally, and ethically release them? As importantly, will taxpaying public forgive and forget them releasing private taxpayer records, even if they are Trump’s?

They already handed them over to CNN/NYT/WP.. they’re just waiting for Trump to open his mouth and say something stupid so they can release them as a distraction.
