Invasion Day 294 – Summary December 14, 2022 [8 Fronts] The summary of the situation of Russian re-invasion to Ukraine covering the last 48 hours, as of 14th December 2022 – 22:00 (Kyiv time).
Briefly:
Situation remains difficult in the area of Bakhmut as Russian troops managed to enter first buildings on the eastern outskirts. Ukrainian forces, despite the recent reinforcements, are unable to stop the endless waves of Russian troops and the air and artillery superiority helps Russians to advance forward.
The amount and intensity of Russian attacks across the whole front seems to be increasing, but Russians so far haven’t found any wunderwaffe to make a larger advance.

Illegal mobilization continues. Russia steps up conscription in occupied areas

The RUSSIAN occupiers continue to suffer significant losses in the war against Ukraine. And in order to replenish the human resource, they continue the illegal mobilization. In the temporarily occupied Donetsk, military commissars began the FORCED MOBILIZATION OF WOMEN.
28 people have already been called up and sent for training, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In some areas of the Luhansk region, there is a hunt for male conscripts. Authorities have increased the number of patrols that hand out summonses right on the streets. But human rights activists argue that soon there will be no one to mobilize in the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics - people leave en masse and try to avoid conscription by all means.

“In the woods of eastern Ukraine, a team of volunteers are scraping the dirt from a corpse and searching for anything that might identify who it was. One of them finds a cross — a possible clue. He says it’s always an honor for him if the team manages to return a body to its family.”

The son of Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin may have given away the mercenary group’s secretive location in Ukraine. Pavel Prigozhin posted a photo in front of the Zhdanova guest house in the city of Kadiivka in Luhansk on social media. As per reports, Ukrainian intelligence forces may have been following Prigozhin on Telegram and recognised the hotel before launching a HIMARS strike at it.

” Patriot air defense systems delivery to Ukraine”
Good news, May they get them asap!
All those who have heard of the Iron Dome in Israel, raise your hands.
Odds are you think that was a system designed around Patriot. Nearly everyone thinks that.
Go spend some time on the Iron Dome wiki and what Israel chose to do.
My wife ran the Arrow Field Office in Tel Aviv. If I could tell you I would even hint, but can’t comment. However, what Israel has achieved was awe inspiring to US Missile Command in DC before moving to Bama.
Nod. Patriot is not trash. But it ain’t gonna do anything significant.
It WILL burn through Western Patriot missile stocks, quickly.
More air defense of any kind is good. I don't know how well Patriots will work on the ballistic missiles, they will work on most other threats. I hope the deployment of laser-guided APKWS rockets will get hurried up. Those should do well on the Shaheed-136 and if true, the An-2 biplanes getting converted to improvised cruise missiles. The sooner the air defenses get increased, the more costly it becomes for Russia to launch weekly to biweekly missile attacks.
As for Bakhmut, I hope Russia does not capture it, if it falls it falls. Ukraine has had months to prepare for this. Now matter how much Russian shills like Alexander Mercouris will crow about it and act like Russia winning, after taking Bakhmut Russia is not going to go anywhere fast.

Looks like the Russians are still in the champagne winery on an edge of the city since yesterday. No surprise, if they really got that far. Might take them a while to move on from their intoxication, if they move at all.
ДСНС України [State Emergency Service of Ukraine]
Heroes of Bakhmut!
•Who if not us?
This is an axiom for those who have remained to serve in the night shift in Bakhmut and despite the constant threat of not returning from the next call, again and again goes to help people.
• It’s about our desperate rescuers who are under constant shelling to extinguish fires and deliver humanitarian aid to the city residents - water, bread and even baby food.
• Yes, the other day, during another delivery of food and water to citizens whose house the day before a fire broke out after a Russian missile hit, the rescuers of the SSNS came under fire from the occupiers. The wreckage damaged a car and our guys fortunately were not injured.
However, even such a development of events - to see the arrival of a missile two meters away - does not stop those whose duty to protect people as long as there is strength.
In order to support personnel warehouse and identify the urgent needs of the unit, this week the head of the SSNS Sergey Kruk visited Bakhmut and awarded rescuers with distinguished honors.

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization's (NATO) arms stockpile is dwindling due to the Russia-Ukraine war, according to a U.S. ambassador.
Ambassador Julianne Smith, permanent U.S. representative to NATO, made the comments during an interview Tuesday with Dr. Kathleen McInnis, a senior fellow in the Center for Strategic and International Studies' International Security Program.
"This is a very serious challenge, both for NATO allies that are giving serious commitment, significant military assistance/lethal assistance to the Ukrainian military forces, but it is a significant challenge for the Ukrainian military forces themselves that are facing shortfalls and declining stockpiles," said Smith, who was appointed in November 2021.
###
"NATO doesn't really plan to fight wars like this, and by that I mean wars with a super intensive use of artillery systems and lots of tank and gun rounds," Frederick Kagan, a senior fellow with the American Enterprise Institute, told the publication. "We were never stocked for this kind of war to begin with."
