One of the main reasons for the current low uptake of the COVID mRNA bivalent booster (less than 43 million doses administered) is the scary anecdotes of side effects overreported in the media.
These stories are not effectively countered by presenting unexciting low-risk data, or the equally boring but true knowledge that the more immunity you have the better off you are against COVID’s short- or long-term side effects. You will likely get less sick and you will recover more quickly and completely.
But fear of a rare side effect overcomes reasoned reassurance every time.
There is also some evidence that the mRNA vaccines still decrease viral load and therefore slow spread at least short term, but of course, no one is megaphoning this important data. Perhaps the whole idea of countering emotion with logic is destined to fail because emotion is a far more powerful response deep in the human brain. Perhaps the emotional narrative of teens rarely developing myocarditis from the jab (latest Israel data of 4.8 cases per 100,000 persons) can only be countered by the far the more common devastating stories of heart or lung or brain problems from the virus itself.
In my practice, I have certainly seen many cases of the latter and none of the former.

Only patients with myocarditis symptoms are being tested for it (right?). Which could be, and very likely is, a tiny fraction of the vaxxed population who now have myocarditis. If we don’t look, we won’t find it.
Perhaps Doctor Marc would care to explain the concept of how HERD IMMUNITY is not working. Years ago the CDC used to publish that a 70-75% immunization rate WAS ‘herd immunity’ essentially.
We’ve had that rate in many places all over this world yet it KEEPS SPREADING. Why? Because the vaccines don’t eradicate the virus; it only marginally protects the immunized to some degree, but it’s still there, being carried day in day out and TRANSMISSABLE to others. Mutations you say? That’s why? I say if the ‘technology’ used to concoct the base vaccine is the same for all the variant viruses, then it’s just an expansion of the program.
Something is very wrong here and it is not those among us who choose not get the jab. Like Elon Musk says, “my pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci”

As a Fox News “contributor” he makes about a half million bucks a year to just stay home and be on call to shill for Fox’s big pharma sponsors, or to shill for any other network narrative they’re pushing.
I remember early in the pandemic he was outside a hospital wearing a mask upside down (nose-clip at bottom.)
Whenever you see a “contributor” on network TV, keep in mind they make high-six-figures to be on call to support the network narrative.

Keep that in mind while recalling that the Swine Flu vax was pulled in ‘77 after causing fewer than three dozen reported deaths and around 500 reported injuries.

I would say it is when the Life Insurance companies start asking whether you have been vaccinated for covid-19 ?
If you have not, the rate on the insurance is “X”.
If you have, the rate on the insurance is “5X”.
I guarantee the actuaries at all the major life insurance companies are aware of what this is costing their respective companies. They have already sent this information to the VP who then presented it to the CEO. The only question now does John Hancock, NYLife, Prudential and all the other companies spread that over everyone they insure OR start asking the question before they insure you. Similar to do you scuba dive, smoke cigarettes, sky dive, drive more than X miles to work, etc ?
I am waiting for the major Life Insurance companies to file a class action lawsuit against Pfizer/Moderna/Astra Zeneca.
These insurance companies could end up owning these pharma companies.

HA! Most the sickest victims that have to be hospitalized are vaxxed. My BIL who got the first two shots just got kicked !lose from the hospital yesterday with a box of meds and an oxygen tank. He’s lucky he didn’t die.
Can we just stipulate that (1) there are people who want most of us dead, with some remaining as their serfs, and (2) they’d rather have us off ourselves in the name of health than have to shoot us?
Once we agree on that, the solution becomes apparent. Killing off the “elite” is not murder; it is preemptive self-defense.
