WASHINGTON (AP) — Young voters who have been critical to Democratic successes in recent elections showed signs in November’s midterms that their enthusiasm may be waning...

...the trend line for younger voters may be an early indicator of the Democrats’ challenge to maintain the coalition of Black people, women, college-educated voters, city dwellers and suburbanites that has buoyed the party...

...Cristina Tzintzún Ramirez, president of NextGen America, a progressive organization that works to mobilize young voters, said the group contacted 90% of eligible voters between the ages of 18 and 35 in Pennsylvania...“For us, it’s not just about a politician or a party,” Tzintzún Ramirez said. “It’s about delivering on a vision for our country that is more just and that will reflect the realities of a generation that is facing a climate crisis, growing racial injustice, runaway inequality and a democracy in decline.”....

I don't think any messaging change would have helped, other than Lindsay Graham refraining from intentional sabotage. Abortion is the "right for women to control their own bodies and a critical backup form of birth control, and Trump's Republican justices took it away."

Once the debate was framed as an attack on hookup culture, there wasn't any good way to counter it among that culture's supporters.

Other exit polls showed young voters preferred Democrats by 28 points. If it was only 12 points, that’s not too bad.

Cognitive dissonance. I remember an article on FR about how the under 30 crowd was responsible for “no Red tsunami.”

Exactly. Complaining doesn’t change anything either. Looking forward to watching the collapse of the new Soviet Union (The US).

Well it didn't wane enough to make much difference.

When the USA is finally completely overwhelmed by decadence and collapses, these morons won't know what hit them, but they will be horribly miserable. They'll have themselves to blame.

Only solution to voting discrepancies is a signed paper ballot with voter ID and counted on election day, period.

That may be, but as long as the Dims are allowed to cheat, doesn’t matter.

Messaging, no. Fraud, yes.

And perhaps we should add denial of the existence of the Uniparty to denial of the existence of fraud.

When we saw Kansas go 60/40 favoring abortion, the writing was on the wall for 2022.

Those that did vote went heavily rat, they loved the college loan bribe.

GOP should have have been viewing indoctrination in our schools and colleges as issue #1 for the past several DECADES.
