Russia weaponizes everything. Energy, nuclear saber rattling, etc. They’ll find a reason to threaten to nuke us because that is just how KGB filth like Putin operate. They have no bounderies.
Russia doesn’t need a reason to rape it’s smaller neighbors. It’s been a feature of Russian society for centuries. Putin is an irredentist who fancies himself a new czar.
It isn’t the interest of the US politically or economically to have a neo USSR allied with the Chinese Communist party. It is much better to kick Russian corruption and influence out of Europe. Morally, conservatives understand that no free people should face the misery and murder rule by the Kremlin promises them. President Trump aggress and his policies reflect that. The USA has no good reason being involved in Ukraine. We can't (won't!) even defend our own borders. What gives us any right to defend theirs?
Putin knows Ukraine is getting limited support from NATO. Older weapon systems in limited quantities. No tanks, no aircraft, etc. Putin has seen his army beaten in Ukraine by poorly armed Ukrainian farmers and certainly doesn’t it want to face the force of NATO. Putin is counting on a fifth column in the west undermining opposition to Russia’s mass murder and genocide in Ukraine. He knows that’s the only way he can achieve his policy goals now.
