This is just a continuation of Obamas Agenda to off Putin. O’biden is happy to carry it out.....
Stunning how many people thought this was Ukrains war - it’s really the US.Nato against Russia and Putins known this all along.
Why are we unable to multi task? Are conservatives so broken and defeated that we must withdraw from the world and crawl under our beds? I think not. Projecting weakness and disinterest only invites aggression from terrorists like Putin.
The Kremlin has a decades long history of funding the very anti American groups you claim to oppose. The more money they have the more trouble they will cause here. Kicking Russian corruption and influence out of Europe via their defeat in Ukraine can only benefit the US in the long term.
Humanity is in a race to exterminate itself. Whether bio warfare or nuclear war, we seem bent on it.
Sorry Elon, you came along too late for us to become a multiplanetary species.
Half of CA may as well be Mexico.
Good chunk of advertisements on billboards in San Jose are in spanish.
Parts of SJ look like they belong in Mexico. Slums, drugs, general filth.
I doubt the US has much say in this. Ukraine now has its own drones capable of flying into Russia proper, so they will likely do it anyway.
Despite all the aid the US and Europe have given, it is especially stunning that little Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania have given 20-30% of their entire GDP to Ukraine. They know the price of living under the Kremlin jackboot and none of them desire it again.
The usa invites russian counter attacking our country by being the public controller and permission grantor to Ukrainian drone attacks.
It brought Germany into conflict with us in 2 wars.
“Sometimes a proxy war comes back to haunt you.”
Like supporting the Muhajadeen in Afghanistan in the 80s and empowering a certain Osama Bin Ladin.
Play with a turd, get crap on your fingers. This is going to blow back on us in horrible ways.
Exactly. We used to do this secretly.
“Who put the US in charge of the Ukraine that they feel they can “give permission” for the Ukraine to take any military action they deem necessary?”
They did when they came begging. If I buy my child a car, I get to say where they can take it.
“Can’t the Ukrainians think and act for themselves? Do we have to hold their hands while they wait for our “permission”?”
When they pay their own way, yes. Till then the man who pays the piper calls the tune.
If Putin was thinking, he would move nuclear missiles into Cuba again just to make the point.
“Russia weaponizes everything. Energy, nuclear saber rattling, etc”
That must be awful to live in a nation that weaponizes everything. /s
The link advised “from wikileaks”. Tell em you went to a public website and to go eff themselves.
I have a feeling that the recent strikes on our power-grid were payback for the missile strikes inside continental Rus.
Like they want to start a nuke war. One day, they will. It’s coming.
When I retired the DOD had a major hard-on going for Assange and Wikileaks. They had me sign a document with witnesses to the effect that my legal liability for improper access continues for life, and Wikileaks was I believe the only source described by name on that document. They didn’t let me have a copy.
If it’s detected it won’t be my first “violation” since 1986 but what are they gonna do? Revoke my clearance which went inactive years ago anyway? Like I will ever need it again?
Gee I HOPE it’s never needed again! What a nightmare turn of events would be required to put me in that position again.
Russia augmented its proxy forces in Ukraine with 160,000 soldiers, 70,000 of which were combat troops. Between 2014 - 2022, the USA completely trained up the Ukrainian army and built massive lines of defensive fortifications. The Russians underestimated the amounts of weapons and intelligence the US (or NATO if you will) supplied. Now under an unified commander, Russia has pulled back to easily defended lines and opted to pound the Ukrainian army with artillery day in and day out. The ground has now frozen and Russia has launched the winter offensive (War). There are onver 700,000 troops designated for this operation and over 300,000 combat troops. The Donbas is going to be in Russian hands by the weekend as Ukraine’s 93d Bde is pulling out of Bathmut(sp). These troops are trying to retreat to defensive lines far to the east. Most of the Ukraine’s regular army has been either wasted in counter attacks since Oct, or pounded by artillery and both countries have stated 1000 casualties of Ukrainian soldiers daily for several months on end. Ukraine is in no positon (pun) or any condition to repell this new Russian initiative. There is sparse reporting coming from the front(s). I would speculate that Russia takes Donbas, the areas contested in the North and in the South Odessa. Reports that Russian SF cut Ukraine’s communications at the onset of this attack in the rear areas. Most of the Odessa area is without electric and water, as is a large percerntage of the rest of the population. Between cutting the electric, fuel, rail and resultant suffering of the population, the EU will be faced with mass evacuations which they have a moral responsibility to accept given their part in using the Minsk Agreement as cover to arm, train and build defensive positons in Ukraine.
Looks like we'll be checking on this next Monday!
