“Hey stupid- not wanting the USA to get involved does not mean you are a Russia ‘disciple’”

Reminds me of early 2016, when I was called a Leftist here because I supported Trump over Cruz.

I did not say that. I did say we have a lot of Putin disciples on FR. We also have those who do not want to assist the invaded country and thus want to strengthen America-hating Russia. When the Speaker of the Russian Duma speaks seriously of reversing the “illegal” transfer of Alaska you should pay attention.

I actually don’t care what those 2 countries do to each other. It’s not our fight.

Last year we spent the equivalent of 5% of our military budget on Ukraine, which resulted in the destruction of the russian army as an offensive threat to NATO, with zero loss of our servicemen. Good thing, or not?

Apparently not, since it’s the Left that is siding with the Neocons and Globalists

Oliver Stone is a dictator loving pos. When, he interviews dictators, Hugo Chavez or Putin, he never interviews the opposition.

As for lefties, many are against supporting Ukraine-Noam Chomsky and Katrina vanden Heuve for instance.

Denying Ukraine the means to defend itself is supporting Russia. It is intellectually dishonest to suggest otherwise because we all know what will happen to Ukraine without western aid. Putin has said many times Ukraine is an illigimate nation and does not have a right to exist. That, my FRiend, is why Ukrainians fight so hard.

Kicking Russian corruption and influence out of Europe will bring vast economic benefit to the US. If this really about economics then supporting Ukraine is a no-brainer. Obviously, the economic argument against Ukraine is simply a convenient straw man.

Economically and morally the right thing to do for conservatives is to support Ukraine. No people should have to live under the Kremlin boot. History shows us that only brings misery and death.

Just this week Putin was nuclear sabre rattling and talking about first strike nuking us again. Seemingly, there is no debasement Putinas will not endure in support of mass murdering Kremlin KGB scum. Sad, really.

You should think long & hard about what you are supporting.

You should also apologize to those who disagree with our involvement in this conflict, for using disparaging names to attack them with.

We are patriots, not Putin lovers. We love this country far more than we love saving Ukraine, especially while our "leaders" allow this country to be systematically destroyed by a man who obtained his power & current position via a fraudulent election, and has enriched himself & and his family by selling this nation to the highest foreign adversary bidders he can.

He is in no way the sole culprit either, as there are many who are in positions of power, who are right along side of him in their traitorous roles to enrich themselves, at the expense of you and your families futures.

No wonder we are losing our nation and our freedoms.

Wake up. You are supporting pure evil.

“ No, you are the ones who continue the suffering of Ukrainians. You’re just too ignorant to realize that inconvenient fact.”

It doesn’t help your argument when you present your personal opinion as a “fact”.

My opinions and posts do not help or harm Ukrainians one iota. Neither do yours.

The best quote I heard regarding the situation was from a Ukrainian soldier, to the effect of “Some say the West wants Ukraine to fight to the last man. That is wrong. It is we Ukrainians who make the choice to fight to the last man”.

More, IMHO, based on history and the will of the Ukrainian people, if Russia was able to successfully invade Ukraine and topple the government the next phase would be a prolonged guerrilla war by Ukrainian nationalists.

A case of tit for tat.

“As for lefties, many are against supporting Ukraine-Noam Chomsky and Katrina vanden Heuve for instance.”

But VERY FEW...Even Bernie Sanders is on your side, not to mention the White House. In fact, the only major politicians calling for peace are Trump and a few in Congress...ALL of them conservatives.

But VERY FEW...

LOL, right ALL the no-war lefties have disappeared.

A group of House Democrats on Tuesday withdrew a letter sent to President Joe Biden a day earlier urging him to pursue a diplomatic end to the war in Ukraine by negotiating directly with Russia.

A group of House Democrats on Tuesday withdrew a letter sent to President Joe Biden a day earlier urging him to pursue a diplomatic end to the war in Ukraine by negotiating directly with Russia

The letter, signed by 30 Democrats, was swiftly met with criticism from within the lawmakers’ own party

Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., said Tuesday the letter, which her signature appeared first, was drafted several months ago and was released by staff without vetting, although she took responsibility for it

Jayapal stressed that the Democrats who signed the letter were not backing down from their support of Ukraine in the same way McCarthy suggested Republicans might if they win back the House in the midterms

The letter, signed by 30 progressive Democrats, was swiftly met with criticism from within the lawmakers’ own party. Those critics issued statements and social media posts reaffirming their support for Ukraine while arguing that negotiating with Russian President Vladimir Putin was unrealistic.

Apologies given. BTW I didn’t say lovers but rather support. Two very different things. I’m being respectful. You not so much by mischaracterizing what I said. Think you owe me an apology.

Also, I am biased - have civilian friends stuck on the ground in combat zones in Ukraine. One doesn’t know where her brother is. Very likely dead or captured - he was in an area overrun by Russian troops, one where they found mass graves. So a little understanding would be appreciated.

“Fascist Ukraine.”

Oh, bullshit. I watched the video. It’s the same sort of “they’re all Nazis” nonsense we hear from the pro-Russians here all the time. It’s hilarious to hear how they complain about Ukrainians dehumanizing Russians - which is undoubtedly happening - while the Russians have done the same thing in various forms as well. Pot, kettle. Kettle, pot.

Russia tried to take over Ukraine using tanks. Ukraine proved that they can destroy Russia’s tanks at will. Russia used missiles, but Ukraine responded with increasing anti-missile fire until Russia started running short of accurate missiles. So Russia is stuck using artillery. The problem is, Russians and their artillery can’t hit the broad side of a barn. So they resort to “wall of fire” barrages. They’re throwing every projectile they can find into Ukraine.

How long until Russia runs dangerously short on artillery ammo?

It appears that Russia’s artillery is hard to destroy. Ukraine strikes them. It kills the crew, but Russia throws in new crews of blind untrained orcs.
