WASHINGTON, Dec 7 (Reuters) - President Joe Biden on Wednesday renewed vows to secure a new ban on assault weapons in the United States as he turns up heat on lawmakers to pass legislation before his party loses control of Congress next month.
Lawmakers have shown little inclination to outlaw assault weapons since a ban on high-capacity firearms expired in 2004, but Biden is hoping to seize on outrage about the regularity of shootings to lead to greater pressure on them to change their mind.
"We did it before," Biden said of the ban at a vigil for victims of gun violence at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Washington. "We did it, and guess what? It worked ... We can do it again."

Well, most of the country is so dumb they don’t have a clue what an assault weapon is. Since Democrats are a special kind of stupid, the issue is more severe with them.
The only guys I know who have shot assault weapons are US Marine friends of mine.
The moron just released a convicted arms dealer the same day he announces he wants to take ours.
They let violent recidivist criminals out without bail and yet want to take guns away from the law abiding.

1. Define "assault weapon" in one or two simple, clear, and not-open-ended sentences.
2. Define "children" (age range)
3. Break down the statistics as to a) type of weapon, b) whether any gang activity involved, c) accidents v suicides and d) each broken down according to age.
4. Make all raw data available for examination and replication , including description of all uncertainties and assumptions.

Before they ban assault weapons they must define what they are. Just as they don’t know what a woman is, they don’t know what an assault weapon is.
That was before the Supreme Court's Bruen decision. Any "gun ban" will now be unconstitutional.
At this point, he just comes out and read the script off a Teleprompter. I didn’t watch this particular speech, however, recent ones he’s struggling to do that more and more, and has helpers to get him off stage.
In their mind, because it looks scary, and like something the military has it’s apparently even more deadly than what the military uses. Just like his comment a while back about a 9 mm handgun that will apparently blow a Kim ball sized hole through your body.
